  • Patent number: 8113633
Abstract: A liquid ejecting head includes a passage unit made by laminating a plurality of plates including a first plate having a first through-hole with a first size and a second plate having a second through-hole with a second size which is larger than the first size. The first plate and the second plate are bonded with adhesive so that the first through-hole and the second through-hole in communication with each other. The affinity for the adhesive to bond to the inner peripheral surface of the second through-hole is set to be at least higher than the affinity for the adhesive to bond to the area around the opening of the first through-hole. Adhesive that flows out from between the first plate and the second plate at the time of bonding of the first plate and the second plate is guided to the inner peripheral surface of the second through-hole.

  • Publication number: 20110242237
Abstract: A liquid ejecting head includes a plurality of nozzle openings, a first flow path, a supply path, a recovery path, a first filter, a second filter, and a second flow path. The nozzle openings eject a liquid, the first flow path is communicated with the plurality of nozzle openings and the liquid is circulated through the first flow path. The supply path supplies the liquid to the first flow path from the outside, and the recovery path recovers the liquid from the first flow path to the outside. The first filter is provided in the supply path and the second filter is provided in the recovery path. The second flow path connects the supply path provided in the upstream side of the first filter and the recovery path provided in downstream side of the second filter.

  • Publication number: 20110211001
Abstract: A control apparatus includes a discharge control unit, wherein the discharge control unit controls liquid so that, before a start of printing of which the printing is performed on a printing medium by ejecting a liquid, which is filled and heated within flow passages, from a nozzle opening, the liquid within the flow passages of the liquid ejecting head is discharged from the nozzle opening, and, after the liquid ejecting head is heated to a printing temperature by the heated liquid and the liquid ejecting head reaches the printing temperature, discharging of the liquid from the nozzle opening is stopped.

  • Publication number: 20100225718
Abstract: A liquid supply apparatus includes a liquid supply passage that supplies liquid from an upstream liquid supply source side to a downstream side where the liquid is consumed and a filter chamber midway in the liquid supply passage. The filter chamber has a filter that catches air bubbles in the liquid. The liquid supply passage has a pressure chamber upstream of the filter chamber. The pressure chamber is defined by a first movable wall that moves upon receiving pressure in the pressure chamber and by a second movable wall. The second movable wall receives force from the first movable wall upon displacement thereof. The second movable wall displaces toward the side of reducing the volume of the filter chamber by the force transmitted by the first movable wall when the pressure chamber and the filter chamber are pressurized from upstream side of the pressure chamber.
