  • Patent number: 8378199
Abstract: A multimedia platform records a performance on a keyboard synchronously with a picture by periodically regulating an internal clock, which is indicative of the lapse of time, with time codes inserted into the set of video data codes representative of the picture, and reproduces the performance through an automatic player piano also synchronously with the picture by periodically regulating the internal clock with the time codes, whereby the user enjoys himself or herself in the performance as if he or she feels himself or herself performing in a convert hall.

  • Patent number: 8314319
Abstract: A plurality of musical instrument is connected to a server device through a network to form a storage system. The musical instrument generates performance data, and sends the performance data to the server device every time the performance data is generated. The server device receives the performance data sent from the musical instrument. The server device has a clock unit that measures date and time, and a storage unit that stores the performance data received by the receiving unit. Further, a file generation unit of the server device divides a polarity of the performance data stored in the storage unit into blocks based on the date and time of the performance data measured by the clock unit when the performance data is received by the receiving unit, and generates performance files corresponding to the blocks of the performance data.

  • Patent number: 8273977
Abstract: An audio player is connected to an automatic playing musical instrument, and command files and audio data files are prepared in the file format defined in the Red Book in the audio player, although the time data are stored in the time data fields of the longitudinal time codes, the user's data fields are available for commands to the automatic player and identification of a music data file; when a user instructs the audio player to control the automatic player for a solo performance, a quasi audio signal is produced from the command data for the solo performance; when a user instructs to a performance in collaboration with the automatic player, the audio signal, which expresses the pieces of audio data and a music data file, is supplied to the automatic player so as to reproduce the music tune through the acoustic tones and electric tones.

  • Patent number: 8138407
Abstract: In order to establish an automatic player piano and a home theater system in synchronization for ensemble, a set of playback pattern data expresses a series of pitch names, and is stored in a memory system independent of an audio data file and a music data file; while an audio signal is being supplied from a playback system to a synchronizer of the automatic player piano, the synchronizer extracts samples from the audio signal, and determines a series of pitch names through an FFT and a quantization; the series of pitch names of the samples is compared with the playback pattern data what part of the playback pattern data expresses the series of pitch name; since the each sample appears over an extremely short time period, the synchronizer accurately determines a lapse of time, and selects a note event data code to be processed from the music data file.

  • Patent number: 7919704
Abstract: A talk assisting system has a vibration sensor for detecting tones produced through a musical instrument and a signal interrupter connected between a microphone and a sound system; while a player is fingering a music tune on the musical instrument, pieces of vibration data express a wide amplitude of the vibrations, and a tone discriminator changes a state signal to an active high level; and the signal interrupter is responsive to the state signal so as to block the sound system from the voice signal, whereby the tones are not mixed with the voice.

  • Patent number: 7649823
Abstract: A recording and reproducing system is broken down into a recording unit for producing a digital audio data signal from MIDI music data words asynchronously produced at irregular intervals and a playback unit for reproducing the MIDI music data codes from the digital audio data signal, wherein synchronous data nibbles are supplemented in the irregular intervals among the MIDI music data words for producing a data stream, and the digital audio data signal is produced from the data stream through a differential phase shift keying and a phase code modulation so as to record the MIDI messages in a digital versatile disk at high dense.

  • Patent number: 7622664
Abstract: A performance control apparatus which can actually reproduce performance information without a long sounding blank time period being produced even if the performance information includes information indicative of a long sounding blank time period. Performance data md-A including at least key-on event data KON and time data TIME that defines sounding timing is read out and output. When the time data TIME in the readout performance data md-A is indicative of a longer sounding blank time period than a predetermined time period, the sounding blank time period is reduced or eliminated in outputting the performance data md-A.

  • Patent number: 7589273
Abstract: An automatic accompanist produces tones for an accompaniment in synchronism with tones of melody produced through fingering of a human player; cue note data codes, which express tones produced in the melody, and cue time data codes, which express a lapse of time between the cue notes, are stored in a cue time track separately from an automatic accompanying track where key event data codes for the accompaniment and duration data codes each expressing a lapse of time between the key event codes; while the human player is fingering the melody, the automatic accompanist monitors the keys specified as the cue notes; if the human player does not depress the keys, the automatic accompanist stops the measurement of the lapse of time expressed by the duration data codes so as to make the accompaniment delayed.

  • Patent number: 7507896
Abstract: At least one musical instrument, a server computer, a mobile telephone and a communication network form a music performance system; the owner has registered the musical instrument with a client database in the server computer, and a user transmits a request for music data distribution service to the server computer through the mobile telephone; upon reception of the request, the server computer searches the client database to see whether or not the owner has contracted the provider for the music data distribution service; when the server computer finds the owner in the client database, the server computer transmits a set of music data codes directly to the musical instrument so that the mobile telephone is shareable between the musical instrument and another musical instrument.

  • Patent number: 7501568
Abstract: A hybrid musical instrument and a PDA form a musical performance system, and a user controls the hybrid musical instrument by means of the PDA; when the user pairs the hybrid musical instrument with the PDA, the musical instrument converts an identification code to a machine-recognizable image such as an image of a QR code on a monitor display, and the PDA takes in the image of QR code through an image pickup device; the PDA restores the image of QR code to the identification code, and stores it in a memory; and the identification code is directly transmitted from the hybrid musical instrument to the PDA without any keying-in so that the user feels the pairing work easy and speedy.
