  • Patent number: 7560145
Abstract: The invention aims at a curing agent, curable compositions or compositions for optical materials, capable of providing for cured artifacts having laudable heat resistance, optical transparency, and light resistance; optical materials and methods for their production; and liquid crystal displays and LED's made by using the materials. A curing agent, which comprises at least two SiH groups, is obtainable by subjecting an aliphatic organic compound (?1) and an acyclic and/or cyclic polyorganosiloxane (?1) to hydrosilylation reaction. The curing agent is also obtainable by subjecting an organic compound (?2) and a cyclic polyorganosiloxane (?2) to hydrosilylation reaction.

  • Publication number: 20080234436
Abstract: The present invention provides a polyolefin graft copolymer which is produced by graft copolymerization of an olefin monomer and a macromonomer, which has good handleability and excellent dispersibility in a thermoplastic resin. In a composition including the polyolefin graft copolymer, excellent surface wettability is exhibited and the increase in elastic modulus is suppressed. The invention also provides a method for producing the polyolefin graft copolymer. Furthermore, the invention provides a composition containing the copolymer and a production method therefor. The polyolefin graft copolymer can be produced, in the presence of a coordination polymerization catalyst, by graft-copolymerizing an olefin monomer and a macromonomer having a multilayer structure in an aqueous system.

  • Publication number: 20080009593
Abstract: A polyolefin graft copolymer formed by graft copolymerization of an olefinic monomer and a macromonomer and the production process therefor are provided. The polyolefin graft copolymer is produced from a macromonomer obtained by radical emulsion polymerization of a vinyl monomer, by using a redox initiator containing a polymerization initiator, an activator, a reductant, and an oxygen coordination type-chelating age.

  • Publication number: 20070244261
Abstract: The present invention provides a polyolefin graft copolymer produced by copolymerizing a macromonomer latex which is obtained by radical emulsion polymerization of a vinyl monomer, with an olefin monomer, and also provides a method for producing the same, and a composition. A polyolefin graft copolymer can be produced by copolymerizing a macromonomer latex which is obtained by radical emulsion polymerization of a vinyl monomer, with an olefin monomer in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst composed of a certain ligand and nickel as the central metal.

  • Publication number: 20070123656
Abstract: The present invention provides a polyolefin copolymer in which an olefin monomer is graft-copolymerized to modified particles of a metallic compound. The polyolefin graft copolymer can be obtained by graft-copolymerizing the olefin monomer to modified particles of a metallic compound in the presence of a coordination polymerization catalyst in the presence of, particularly, a coordination polymerization catalyst of a late transition metal complex. Further, the property of a polyolefin resin can be improved by blending the polyolefin graft copolymer to a polyolefin resin.

  • Publication number: 20060211824
Abstract: The present invention provides a polyolefin graft copolymer which is produced by graft copolymerization of an olefin monomer and a (meth)acrylic macromonomer and which has good powder characteristics, a polyolefin graft copolymer composition, and a method for producing such a polyolefin graft copolymer. The invention also provides a composition containing the copolymer and a method for producing such a composition. In the presence of a late transition metal complex coordination polymerization catalyst, an olefin monomer and a (meth)acrylic macromonomer having a glass transition temperature of 30° C. or higher are graft-copolymerized.
