    Abstract: An in-vehicle ECU deletes part of data in a blockchain, when the data stored in the blockchain accumulates to have a bigger data size. Then, the in-vehicle ECU, upon having the part of data deleted from the blockchain, acquires a lowest block number in the blockchain, and stores and updates the number in a secure world. Therefore, while the stored lowest block number is updated when data deletion is a legitimate one, the data deletion caused by unauthorized tampering will not lead to an update of the stored lowest block number.
