    Abstract: To provide a parking brake apparatus for a saddled vehicle actuated in response to a reverse rotation on a throttle grip which is set in a simplified structure. A parking brake apparatus for a saddled vehicle includes a parking brake caliper configured to restrict a rotation of a rear wheel while the motorcycle is parked; a steering handle configured to steer a front wheel; and a throttle grip mounted on the steering handle and configured to control output of a power unit. The control unit actuates the parking brake caliper by a motor when at least the throttle grip is reversely rotated and the vehicle speed is zero. The throttle grip being reversely rotated is detected according to information from a throttle position sensor which is interlocked with the throttle grip.

Here, the pulsar ring is fixed to a crank web of the crank shaft. A weight for adjusting inertia balance of the crank shaft is fixed to the crank web arranged close to an end of the crank shaft in an axial direction. The weight has a shape obtained by increasing thickness of a part of the pulsar ring.

The one side wall is inclined downwardly toward a center of the motorcycle. The exhaust pipe is disposed closely to the side wall. An oil filter is mounted on the internal combustion engine and disposed below the internal combustion engine in overlapping relation to the oil pan as viewed in side elevation, near the other of the left and right side walls of the oil pan.

The cover structure further includes a side surface cover that includes a joining portion which is vertically arranged from the sprocket cover portion towards the pipe cover portion so as to be in parallel with the discharge side hose. The intake side hose is arranged side by side in the width direction of the vehicle and integrally joins the sprocket cover portion with the pipe cover portion.
