Abstract: Novel herbicidal fluorobenzothiazolyloxyacetamides of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or an optionally substituted radical from the group consisting of alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl and aralkyl,R.sup.2 represents an optionally substituted radical from the group consisting of alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, aralkyl, aryl, alkoxy, alkenyloxy or alkinyloxy, orR.sup.1 and R.sup.2, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded, form an optionally substituted, saturated or unsaturated nitrogen heterocycle which can contain further heteroatoms and to which a benzo group can be fused.

Abstract: The invention relates to novel heterocyclyltriazolinones of the general formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, hydroxyl, cyano or alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl, arylsulphonyl, amino or heterocyclyl, each of which is optionally substituted,R.sup.2 represents hydrogen, hydroxyl, mercapto, halogen or alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl, arylalkyl, amino or heterocyclyl, each of which is optionally substituted, andHet represents an optionally substituted heterocycle of the formula ##STR2## in which X in each case represents oxygen, sulphur, an NH group or an N-alkyl group,a process for their preparation and their use as herbicides.

Abstract: Herbicidal new 2-(2-benzoxazolyloxy)-acetamides of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents hydrogen, halogen, alkyl or halogenoalkyl andAr represents optionally substituted aryl,but with the exception of the compounds N-isopropyl-2-(2-benzoxazolyl-oxy)-acetanilide and N-isopropyl-2-(6-chlorobenzoxazol-2-yl-oxy)-acetanilide.

Abstract: Novel substituted carboxylic acid amide herbicides of the formula ##STR1## wherein n is an integer from 1 to 4each R is independently selected from hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylthio, haloalkylthio, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, nitro cyano and alkoxycarbonyl; and two R radicals taken together can represent methylenedioxy, dichloromethylenedioxy or difluoromethylenedioxy,R.sup.1 is hydrogen or alkyl,R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are individually selected from hydrogen or a radical selected from alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl and nitrogen-containing heterocycles, each of which radicals may be substituted and each of which radicals may, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, form an optionally substituted, optionally partially unsaturated and optionally benzo-fused monocyclic or bicyclic radical, which may contain one or more further hetero-atoms, andX is oxygen or sulfur.

Abstract: 5-Halogenoalkyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yloxyacetamides of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is halogenoalkyl, with the exception of trifluoromethyl, andR.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each independently is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, in each case optionally substituted cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl, halogenoalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkoxyalkylenoxy, alkoxy, aralkyl or optionally substituted aryl, orR.sup.2 and R.sup.3, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded, form an optionally substituted heterocyclic radical which can contain further hetero-atoms,which possess herbicidal and fungicidal activity. The intermediates 5-chlorodifluoromethyl- and 5-dichlorofluoromethyl-2-chloro-1,3,4- thiadiazole are also new.
