  • Publication number: 20050117208
Abstract: The invention proposes a changer device for optical elements (2a-2e) in stereomicroscopes with which a pair of optical elements (2) can be inserted in the two stereo channels (3) of a stereomicroscope. A particularly compact construction can be achieved by arranging the optical elements (2) side by side in an arc, more particularly in a circle, while between the elements of a pair of elements (2a, 2d) associated with the two stereo channels (3), at least one other optical element (2e; 2b, 2c) is provided, and in that the center (4) of the arcuate or circular arrangement (1) is shifted laterally away from the middle (5) of the stereobase of the stereo channels (3).

  • Patent number: 6760166
Abstract: A zero-clearance, axially displaceable aligning mount system for optical components includes an unthreaded mount receptacle having a transverse orifice and includes an aligning mount carrying lens elements or lens combinations. A cured plastic casting compound forms a thread substitute in the region of the transverse orifice and beyond it. Coating of this region with an antiadhesion agent, prior to application of the casting compound in pasty form, prevents the molded threads from sticking.

Abstract: A magnetically positioned precision holder for optical components in an optical device comprises a carrier for replaceably holding at least one optical component. The carrier is arranged in positionally adjustable fashion in a housing recess including a precision stop surface. Magnet pairs (A1/A2 and B1/B2) are oriented with identical polarity being provided in order to achieve a continuous contact pressure of the carrier (2; 3) against the stop surface (6), in such a way that the one magnet (A1, B1) is located in the recess and the corresponding magnet (A2, B2) is located in the carrier. The use of identically poled magnet pairs for movable precision holders and for precision positioning systems is also proposed.

  • Patent number: 6563113
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel type of microscope with an illuminating beam which is guided through the magnification power changer with optimized light intensity parallel to the observation beam. The invention specifically relates to a stereo fluorescence microscope comprising a set of quickly replaceable filters in interchangeable filter carriers. • Publication number: 20030070963
Abstract: The cracking of hydrocarbon fractions, for example to obtain low olefins, in particular ethylene, is performed in reaction tubes that are at least partially coated with catalyst. The catalyst can promote gasification of coke with water vapor after the water-gas reaction in CO, CO2 and H2, and/or the cracking reactions. The catalyst coating can be placed directly on reaction tubes or on top of a previously applied adhesion promoter and/or auxiliary medium placed on the reaction tubes, in particular on a grid. Preferably, the catalyst coating is applied thermally, by cold-coating processes, in particular the slip process, by vapor deposition and/or,adhesion. The catalyst can promote, in particular, gasification of coke with water vapor after the water-gas reaction in CO, CO2 and H2 and make hydrogen, obtained during catalytic gasification, available for cracking hydrocarbons and/or as additional product.

  • Patent number: 6022019
Abstract: An apparatus for testing sheet material with sensors having one or more components and fastened to the front of a base plate as separate units on one and/or both sides of a sheet material path. The fastening system includes a first fastening device which is operable from the back of the base plate and permits removal of the sensor in the released state. In order to open a gap between at least one component of a sensor and the transport path, this component has second fastening device which is operable from the front of the base plate and permits only motion of the component relative to the transport system in the released state. Removal of the sensor is impossible in the released state of the second fastening means unless the first fastener device is released.

  • Patent number: 4619757
Abstract: Low-molecular weight olefins from heavy hydrocarbons are obtained with a hydrogenating pretreatment and a subsequent thermal cracking of at least a portion of the hydrogenated product. In the first stage, the polyaromatic content of a first hydrocarbon fraction high in polyaromatic compounds, e.g., a vacuum gas oil, is selectively degraded with a zeolitic hydrotreating catalyst, and in a second stage the resultant hydrocarbons are refined with a non-zeolitic hydrotreating catalyst in admixture with a second heavy hydrocarbon fraction low in polyaromatic compounds, e.g., and atmospheric gas oil. This two-stage process permits the utilization of lower operating pressures as compared to the separate treatment of the heavy hydrocarbon fractions.
