  • Patent number: 4850375
Abstract: A urine meter comprising, a receptacle having a wall defining a cavity and an opening at the top of the receptacle communicating with the cavity, with the receptacle having a pair of opposed projections. The meter has a container having a front flexible wall and a back flexible wall, said front and back walls being formed together around their periphery to define a chamber in the container, said front wall being secured adjacent the top of the receptacle and having an opening communicating with the chamber and the cavity through the receptacle opening, said back wall extending over said container opening. The urine meter has a pair of forwardly directed guide members having a pair of elongated slots to receive the projections, such that the receptacle may be moved from a first lower upright position to collect liquid in the cavity to a second upper tilted portion to dump collected liquid from the cavity into the chamber.

  • Patent number: 4790837
Abstract: A urine meter comprising, a receptacle having a wall defining a cavity and an opening at the top of the metered receptacle communicating with the cavity. The urine meter has a container having flexible walls defining a chamber, with the container being secured to the top of the receptacle and having an opening communicating with the chamber and the cavity through the receptacle opening. The urine meter has an inlet conduit extending through the container to a position aligned with the cavity for draining liquid into cavity. The receptacle is movably mounted between a first lower upright position to collect liquid in the cavity, and a second upper tilted position sufficient to dump collected liquid from the cavity into the chamber.

  • Patent number: 4710171
Abstract: A biological needle depth setting arrangement comprising a locking assembly tightenable about the needle barrel. A sheath with graduations therein permits the needle depth to be adjusted accurately. An elastomer bushing is compressible about the needle barrel, and the bushing is prevented from dislocation through a screw-hub arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4610663
Abstract: A nephrostomy catheter comprising, an elongated shaft having a drainage lumen extending through the shaft, an inflation lumen extending through a wall of the shaft, and an opening extending through the wall of the shaft and communicating with the drainage lumen adjacent a proximal end of the shaft. The catheter has an elastic sleeve secured to a distal portion of the shaft in circumferential zones, with the sleeve defining a cavity communicating with the inflation lumen. The catheter has a connector removably received in sealing relationship in the opening with the connector communicating with the drainage lumen, and an inflation valve secured to the proximal end of the shaft. Communication is established between the valve and the inflation lumen to inflate the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4600402
Abstract: A catheter comprising, a first distal shaft section having a first distal drainage lumen extending therethrough, and a first inflation lumen extending through a wall of the first shaft section. The catheter has an elastic sleeve bonded to a distal portion of the first shaft section in circumferential zones defining a cavity beneath the sleeve communicating with the first inflation lumen. The catheter has a proximal portion comprising a second proximal shaft section having a second drainage lumen extending therethrough, a hollow connector defining a continuation of the second drainage lumen, a side arm having a valve, and a second inflation lumen extending through the side arm from the valve and through the second shaft section to a distal end of the proximal portion.
