  • Publication number: 20190152610
Abstract: An oxygen dispensing system for passenger(s) of an aircraft, comprising an oxygen dispensing unit, with a dispensing valve supplied by an oxygen source, a tube assembly comprising a tube and an optical fiber, a breathing mask, wherein the tube establishes a fluid connection between the oxygen dispensing unit and the mask, a sensory device arranged at the breathing mask, connected to the oxygen dispensing unit via the optical fiber, wherein the sensory device senses, at the breathing mask, variations of parameter(s) influenced by the breathing of a passenger using the mask, and transmit, via the optical fiber, corresponding breath signal(s) to the oxygen dispensing unit which is configured to deliver, upon said breath signal, a controlled quantity of oxygen in the tube.

  • Patent number: 9849313
Abstract: The invention relates to a system to deliver a respiratory gas to crew members in a cabin of an aircraft. The system includes at least one respiratory mask, an ambient air inlet for admission of ambient air into the respiratory mask, a source of additional gas, supply lines to transport the additional gas to the respiratory mask, a mixing chamber provided on the supply lines to mix the additional gas with ambient air to supply a respiratory gas corresponding to a mixture of the additional gas and the ambient air to the respiratory mask, regulation system to regulate the additional gas content of the respiratory gas at least partly as a function of the aircraft altitude.

  • Publication number: 20100294885
Abstract: The invention relates to a storage box (13) in which is received a protective mask (4) adapted to be applied on the face of an aircraft crewmember, said storage box further comprising signaling means (19) activable upon occurrence in the aircraft of a triggering event to help said aircraft crewmember distinguish said storage box from its environment.

  • Publication number: 20090301489
Abstract: The invention relates to a respiratory gas supply circuit (1) for an aircraft carrying passengers and crewmembers (30), comprising a source of breathable gas (R1, R2), at least one supply line (2) connected to said pressurized source, a regulating device (12) provided on said supply line for controlling the supply of breathable gas, a mixing device (9) provided on said supply line, said mixing device further comprising an ambient air inlet (10) for mixing said ambient air with said breathable gas to provide to at least one passenger or crewmember a respiratory gas corresponding to a mixture of said breathable gas and ambient air, wherein said regulating device is driven by a control signal (FIO2R) function at least of the arterial blood oxygen saturation (SaO2) measured on said at least one passenger or crewmember.
