  • Patent number: 4987337
Abstract: This invention relates to a color display tube having a color selection electrode which is suspended from the display window by means of pin-shaped members which are inserted in the upright edge 3 of a display window. The pin-shaped members have a spherical free end 16 portion which engages in an aperture of a conical portion of the flat resilient suspension element attached to the corners of the mask. To avoid the flat resilient suspension element from lying against the pin-shaped member, the central axis A of the pin-shaped member forms an angle .alpha. of from 5.degree. to 20.degree. with the X-Y plane.

  • Patent number: 4872863
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a cathode-ray tube in which a cone part and a display window are accurately positioned relative to each other, a glass frit is provided between the display window and the cone part, and the positioning thus obtained is fixed by securing locating pins to faces on the display window and in slots in studs on the cone by means of an acrylate adhesive. Subsequently, the display window is permanently secured to the cone by frit sealing.

  • Patent number: 4868453
Abstract: Means for suspending a color selection electrode from the display window of a color display tube, the means consisting of a first element which is connected to the color selection electrode, and a two-part second element connected to the display window. The second element consists of two separately made parts, a head and a base, enabling manufacture and placement of the head with a high degree of accuracy, and resulting in improved insertion reproducibility of the color selection.

  • Patent number: 4387321
Abstract: A color selection electrode (7) is suspended from the corners of the upright edge (3) of a display window (2) by means of resilient elements (25) which extend substantially perpendicularly to the electron beams deflected towards the corners. The resilient elements (25) have apertures (28) with which the resilient elements (25) are placed on mandrils (31). The mandrils (31) are embedded in the corners of the upright edge (3) of the display window (2) perpendicularly to the planes of the resilient elements (25). A screening cap for screening the electron beams from the earth's magnetic field is connected on the mandrils (31) in such manner that the screening cap exerts no pressure on the resilient elements (25).

  • Patent number: 4358702
Abstract: A color selection electrode (7) is suspended in the corners of the upright edge (3) of the display window (2) by means of strip-shaped resilient elements (25) which extend substantially perpendicularly to the electron beams deflected towards the respective corner of the display window. The resilient elements (25), at their ends remote from the color selection electrode (7), comprise a peg (27) the axis of which extends substantially parallel to the direction of the electron beams directed towards the respective corner. In the corner of the upright edge (3) of the display window (2) a supporting element (30) is connected which comprises a portion (32) which is provided with an aperture (33), which portion (32) extends substantially perpendicularly to the axis of the peg (27). The pegs (27) fall partly through the apertures (33).
