  • Patent number: 4676409
Abstract: A grease gun has a grease container with a low pressure piston, and a high ressure part with a high pressure piston in a passage. The high pressure part is located on a cap screwed to the grease container. The high pressure part is connected through a hole with the interior of the grease container and has an outlet nozzle extending perpendicularly to the high pressure piston and having a passage and a valve. A hand lever is journalled to the high pressure piston and mounted on a pivoting link joining it to the high pressure part. The high pressure part and the outlet nozzle are made as an integral one piece component bend of round steel stock pressed and bent into an L-shape into which the necessary passages are formed after the bending and pressing. These passages may be formed also by pressing, or drilling, or the like.

  • Patent number: 4653156
Abstract: A fastener for conveyor belting has a plurality of fastener elements form a strip adapted to join the ends of the of conveyor belting with the aid of a coupling rod. Each strips forms one half of the fastener and its parallel connecting elements have legs and eye lugs for the purpose of forming eyes to receive and encompass a coupling rod after the legs of the two halves have been secured to the two belt ends and after the two belt halves have been brought into alternate interlocking engagement. The elements are secured to the ends of the belting by using pin-like fastening means such as staples. A non-leaking connection and a grease lubrication of the coupling rod are provided by a caulking filler in the form of a molded body of a rubber elastic material with eye lug grooves and fin elements which are aligned with the respective eye lugs of the connecting strip as an extension thereof and the molded body encompasses the coupling rod at least in part.

  • Patent number: 4582505
Abstract: The invention relates to a connector element for the belt ends of conveyor elts, which embraces the belt end with its shanks in a U-shape while forming an eye loop. The connector element has openings in its shanks for receiving staple-like securing means, as well as projections on the sides of the shanks facing each other. These projections extend perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the shanks, and can be pressed into the belt surface. At least two projections are arranged on each shank, one behind the other as viewed in the shank's longitudinal direction. The projections protrude sideways beyond the shanks, and their free ends form an intermeshing connection of the shanks of neighboring connector elements. These projections may extend at a right angle or at a slant across the length of the respective shank.

  • Patent number: 4522329
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for pressing-in belt connectors, the ressing-in lever of which is driven by two elbow lever systems. In such a pressing-in apparatus a control lever (5) is positioned between the two elbow lever systems. The control lever is driven by the driving elbow lever pair during the first phase of the pressing-in operation. The control lever locks the driven elbow lever pair in the attained end position during the second phase of the pressing-in operation. Therefore, this invention provides a pressing-in apparatus, which works without a curve or cam control for the non-symmetrical closing movement, yet still permits very high pressure attachment forces while being light in weight.

  • Patent number: 4444547
Abstract: An air pressure operated automatic lubricating gun is simplified in its conents and in its assembly to such an extent that this automatic gun can compete economically with manually operated lubricating guns. This improvement has been made possible by locating an air pressure chamber in a main pipe above the high pressure pump and below the air pressure operated motor. The riser pipe for the lubricant is arranged off-center to the central longitudinal axis so as not to interfere with the operation of the centrally located pump piston. The riser pipe passes through the air pressure chamber for a compact assembly. The air pressure supply control means are arranged in the air pressure chamber.

  • Patent number: 4427190
Abstract: Clamps or connector elements (13) are secured to the ends of a conveyor b (10) by a pressure applying clamping tool (11) which includes two clamping rails (1, 2) for clamping down the belt end prior to the attaching of the clamps. A single operating lever (9) is used for clamping the upper rail (1) down against the lower rail (2). For this purpose each end of the upper rail (1) is secured to a respective fixed point (2) by a tie rod (3) and a rocking lever (4). Each rocking lever (4) is connected to a spring biased pull rod (5) which is operatively connected to the single operating lever (9) through a toggle type connection.

  • Patent number: 4151634
Abstract: Plate connectors are secured to the free ends of belts, such as conveyor belts, by means of staples, the protruding ends of which are bent over. Preferably, there are recesses at least in one outer surface of the plate connector. The bent over ends of the staples are preferably cut-off in a plane corresponding substantially to the outer surface of the plate connector, whereby a portion of the bent over staple end is received in its respective recess. The recesses may, however, also be shaped and sized so as to hold the entire bent over end of the staples without severing the ends.

  • Patent number: 4050138
Abstract: An apparatus for attaching connectors to the ends of a conveyor belt, has a lamping head with upper and lower pressure applying jaws for first bending a connector element over and around the edge of the belt end, and then driving securing elements through the legs of the connector element and through the belt. Bending tools are arranged for bending over the free, protruding ends of the securing elements, preferably into grooves of the connector element. The upper jaw has centering projections which cooperate with centering recesses in the connector element. Catch pins ahead of the upper jaw provide a precentering. A measuring device permits checking the belt thickness for adjusting the jaw spacing. An apertured rail functions as a holder for the connector and securing elements and also as an abutment for the feed advance as well as for the stopping of the clamping head which is stepped from connector element to connector element along the edge of the conveyor belt end.

  • Patent number: 4023239
Abstract: A coupling rod for connecting the ends of a conveyor belt comprises a flele core enclosed within a plurality of sleeves, each of which has curved end faces in contact with mating faces of adjacent sleeves. The sleeves may have both end faces convex or concave, or one end face convex and the other end face concave. The sleeve bores may vary in diameter along their lengths, the smallest diameter being in the middle of the bore for a sleeve having both end faces convex, or at the concave end face of a sleeve having one end face convex and the other end face concave so as to bear evenly on the core when the rod bends under load.
