  • Patent number: 6148525
Abstract: A chain tension device for tensioning a cutting chain of a chain saw utilizing a guide bar having an outer periphery and a drive sprocket. The chain saw body supports the guide bar, the sprocket and a drive source. A cutting chain is wound around the sprocket and the outer periphery of the guide bar and a leaf spring is supported by the chain saw body and interposed between the guide bar and the sprocket. The leaf spring abuts and biases the guide bar away from the sprocket so as to apply automatically an appropriate amount of tension to the cutting chain.

Abstract: According to the present invention there is provided a highly reliable position sensor capable of preventing the entry of foreign matters such as water and dust from the exterior into a receptacle chamber formed within a housing. Formed in the housing are a mounting opening to be mounted in a sealed state to a throttle body and a receptacle chamber having an opening. The receptacle chamber and the mounting opening are partitioned from each other by a partition wall. A sensor body is mounted into the receptacle chamber and the opening of the chamber is covered with a cover, then a clearance formed between the opening and the cover is filled and sealed with a thermosetting resin such as an epoxy resin. A communication hole for communication between the receptacle chamber and the mounting opening is formed through an operating shaft which is rotating a sliding-element receiver of the sensor body.

  • Patent number: 4404071
Abstract: There is disclosed an improved method of treating a spent electrolyte of copper from a cell for electrolytic refining of copper for the purpose of purification and reuse of the spent electrolyte. The process comprises the steps of: pretreating the spent electrolyte for removing copper therefrom until the copper content is greatly reduced but still remains at a level which is substantially higher than the total content of various metal ion impurities, preferably to a concentration of 10-13 g/l of Cu; blowing a hydrogen sulfide gas into the pretreated solution at a temperature of 40.degree. C. or higher until the redox potential of solution becomes a certain predetermined value to precipitate metal ions; filtering the treated solution to separate the residue available as a raw material for copper smelting from a filtrate which consists essentially of sulfuric acid; and returning the filtrate to the cell for electrolytic refining of copper.
