  • Publication number: 20090004548
Abstract: To eliminate problems such as insufficient adhesion of an electrode and flooding being easily caused in a fuel cell electrolyte membrane having a structure in which a porous substrate is filled with an electrolyte polymer, and to provide a fuel cell electrolyte membrane for which the productivity is high, which is inexpensive, and for which permeation of fuel is suppressed. A method for producing an electrolyte membrane by filling pores of a porous substrate with an electrolyte polymer, the electrolyte membrane having the surface of the porous substrate exposed. In this production method, the polymer is obtained from an ion-exchange group-containing monomer, or a solution or a dispersion of the monomer with another component added as necessary.
