  • Publication number: 20080117884
Abstract: A radio network controller (104) according to the present invention outputs a context required for a terminal (110a) capable of communicating with a mobile communication network and a wireless local area network to communicate with the wireless local area network to the terminal (110a) among pieces of information input from wireless access gateways (105a, 105b) that control connection with one or more wireless local area networks (103a, 103b) and provide seamless handover of packet communication between the mobile communication network and the wireless LAN.

  • Publication number: 20080045220
Abstract: A corresponding table between a number of a cell and a main base station (102) accommodating the cell is prepared in a node (wireless network control apparatus (101) or main base station (102)) within a radio access network. When a terminal (104) is moved and enters an overlapped area of cells (a) and (b) from an original cell (a), in the case that a main base station (102a) to which the terminal (104) was connected in the cell (a) can accommodate the cell (b) that the terminal (104) has entered, the sub base station (103b) is connected to the main base station (102a), and site diversity is performed in the main base station (102a). Thus, when site diversity is performed between main base stations in a radio access network using a base station in which a baseband processing section is separated from a radio transmission/reception section, traffic flowing between the wireless network control apparatus and the base station is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20080019338
Abstract: There are a wireless access network comprising a radio network gateway apparatus (101), radio access network control apparatus (102a), (102b) and a base stations (103a), (103b) and a terminal (104) accommodated in the wireless access network and when the terminal (104) enters into a new cell B, a packet data is transmitted from the source radio access network control apparatus (102a) to the target radio access network control apparatus (102b). Further, when the terminal (104) switches the radio access network control apparatus (102) with which the terminal (104) communicates, the target radio access network control apparatus (102b) switches a transmission line of a data to be transmitted to the terminal (104) from a wireless data to a packet data in the source radio access network control apparatus (102a), and from the source packet data to a target packet data in a synchronized manner at each timing.

  • Patent number: 7308478
Abstract: An attempt is made to make an incoming notification for a reply to sending mail, an incoming notification related to the sending mail, and an incoming notification from an Internet service provider to a user. Accordingly, when the mail is sent from a communication terminal, if an incoming notification condition related to the mail is added and the mail is sent to a server unit, the server unit detects and registers the information as the incoming notification condition and sends the mail to the Internet. Further, when the mail that matches the incoming notification condition was received, the incoming notification is made to the communication terminal and the condition is changed. Consequently, the incoming notification condition can dynamically be set and changed at mail sending and receiving. That is, the incoming notification condition related to the sending mail can be registered in the server unit at mail sending.

  • Publication number: 20070238469
Abstract: A radio network controller which includes radio resource administration means for administrating a state of the use of radio resource, rack information administration means for administrating a state of the use of resource at base band signal processing unit in base transceiver station, and control means for selecting a call frequency used in base transceiver station and allocating it to a certain rack of base band signal processing unit. In the above configuration, a percentage of loss calls which occurred due to an insufficiency of empty amount with the radio resource, or of empty amount with the base band resource, can be lowered.

  • Publication number: 20060217123
Abstract: It is an object to achieve both improvements in system capacity and load distribution, by allocating resources so as not to generate the call loss as possible. A protected call is set, the resource allocating scheme is varied according to the resource state of each card, call allocating processing is performed to distribute loads at the low traffic time, while being performed to use up as possible resources of a card with a high in-use rate at the high traffic time, and it is thereby possible to obtain the advantageous effect of using resources with high efficiency to enable the load distribution over signal processing cards without generating the call loss as possible.

  • Publication number: 20050234914
Abstract: Load of mail arrival notice processing in a system that reports arrival of mail received from the Internet is reduced. When mail arrival notice to terminals from a mail delivery device fails, mail arrival notice data is stored in transmission data storage means, and the mail arrival notice is transmitted to the terminals again after a predetermined time elapses. When the mail arrival notice is successfully transmitted, the stored mail arrival notice data is deleted from the mail delivery device. Or the stored mail arrival notice data is deleted when other mail for the same terminals is received. For failure of mail arrival notice, according to reasons for the failure, retransmission time is changed, and notice priorities are set according to terminal types.

  • Publication number: 20050107123
Abstract: A base transceiver station enabling increases in the number of calls that can be accommodated at the same time. In the apparatus, each of signal processing cards 103-1 to 103-M has a predetermined number of resources to perform baseband processing on a call. Group creating section 108 compares the number of required resources of a call with a predetermined number, and sorts the call to a group corresponding to a result of the comparison. Resource control section 104 allocates a call to connect to either of signal processing cards 103-1 to 103-M. Further, resource control section 104 reallocates the call to another signal processing card of signal processing cards 103-1 to 103-M, according to the group to which the call, allocated to either of signal processing cards 103-1 to 103-M, is sorted.

  • Patent number: 6421536
Abstract: A communication system includes an exchange, one or a plurality of telephones connected to the exchange via a telephone circuit network, and one or a plurality of computers connected to the exchange at least via the telephone circuit network. Among those telephones and computers, a first telephone is correlated with a first computer. The first telephone sends the first computer a first call reception state report indicating a call reception state of the first telephone via a first route. When receiving the first call reception state report, the first computer sends the exchange a prescribed telephone circuit control instruction for a call directed to the first telephone. When receiving the prescribed telephone circuit control instruction, the exchange performs a telephone circuit control for the call directed to the first telephone according to the prescribed telephone circuit control instruction.

  • Patent number: 5541985
Abstract: An IC card reader-writer is integrated with a battery pack 15. This IC card reader-writer 16 has a control terminal CNT and a power supply control switch 30. A portable phone unit sends power-on/off signals, which are received by the control terminal CNT to turn on and off the power supply control switch 30 to control power supply from the battery 18 to the IC card reader-writer 16. The CPU 24 of the IC card reader-writer 16 controls power supply in such a manner that power is supplied to the IC card 22 only when access to the IC card 22 is necessary and stopped when access to the IC card 22 is unnecessary.
