    Abstract: In an endoscope, a solid-state image pickup device images an object, to output an image signal. In a processing apparatus, an illuminator applies normal light and specific light having spectral distribution different from the normal light to the object. A display control unit operates according to the image signal, to cause display of a normal image of the object produced by applying the normal light, and a specific image of the object produced by applying the specific light. A motion detector detects information of relative motion of the object. A controller controls the illuminator, causes alternate emission of the normal and specific light periodically at a storage period of the image pickup device if the motion information is equal to or smaller than a threshold level, and causes emission of the normal light without emitting the specific light if the motion information is greater than the threshold level.

A CPU compares a movement detection value with a threshold value. Normal light moving images and special light moving images are simultaneously displayed on a screen. When the movement detection value exceeds the threshold value, write of the special light moving images is inhibited. A display control circuit displays on the screen one of the normal light moving images, a special light still image, and tiled windows for simultaneously showing the normal light moving images and special light still image.

    Abstract: A tubular joint adapted to connect a pair of pipes is formed by a joint body made of a synthetic resin having a pair of connection ports integrally formed on respective sides thereof. An outside cylindrical portion of each of the fall-out preventing members has a tapered surface adapted to enable the fall-out preventing members to be press-fitted onto the respective connection ports, and includes a plurality of engaging portions that are engaged with the engaging groove formed around the axial line on the outside circumferential surface of each of the connection ports as the fall-out preventing members are press-fitted thereon.

    Abstract: A tubular joint including at least a pair of connection ports having an inner diameter substantially equivalent to an outer diameter of tubes to be connected, and a tubular connection part connecting the connection ports to each other. The connection ports each have a sealing member formed integrally thereon by extruding elastomer resin into a first recess formed around an axial line on an inner circumferential face of the connection ports, and the connection ports each have a fall-out preventing member coupled to an end part of the connection ports. The fall-out preventing member includes a ring-like member having an outer diameter sized for insertion into the connection ports, and a number of claws having leading edges located in a second recess formed around the axial line on the inner circumferential face of the connection ports and extending toward a center of the connection ports.

    Abstract: A washer is positioned beneath a superimposed assembly of two or more flat thin objects (e.g. resin sheets) which is horizontally supported. A hollow joining pin is fitted about a metal pin supported vertically and coaxially with the washer. The joining pin has a head, a shank and a tapered end portion which is severable from the shank. The metal pin has a pointed end about which the tapered end portion of the joining pin is positioned. The metal pin is vertically movable with the joining pin, or independently of it. The metal pin and the joining pin are moved down to drive its pointed end and its tapered end portion, respectively, into the assembly to make a hole therein and force the shank through the hole until the shank is engaged with the washer, whereby the objects are secured together between the head of the joining pin and the washer. The metal pin is moved down through the joining pin to sever its tapered end portion from its shank. The objects, washer, and joining pin are all of the same material.

A second screw type rotary member extends along the radial direction parallel to the second blade and is rotated for moving material toward the supporting member. A third blade is upstanding in the container.
