  • Publication number: 20110025461
Abstract: An electronic shelf label system includes a plurality of electronic shelf labels, plurality of transmitters, and a transmission controller. The transmission controller divides the transmitters into a plurality of communication groups so that each of the communication groups has a collective communication area including at least one of the transmitters, and to control the transmitters in units of the communication groups. The transmission controller also controls all of the transmitters included in one of the communication group, which is determined based on input of position specification information for specifying a position of a worker who is utilizing a portable information processing device, to cause product information of a target product to be transmitted to a target electronic shelf label by one of the transmitters that belongs to the communication group.

  • Publication number: 20100225444
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide techniques for shortening a time required for establishing a correspondence between an electronic shelf label and a product. In an electronic shelf label system (1), in response to receipt of a correspondence cancellation signal in an electronic shelf label (5), a hardware information screen (S2) including a device code (8d) appears. Thus, in the electronic shelf label (5) in an unlinked state, the device code (8d) is kept being displayed. Accordingly, in a subsequent linking process for establishing a correspondence between the electronic shelf label (5) and a product, a process for causing the electronic shelf label (5) to display the device code (8d) is unnecessary, to thereby significantly shorten a time required for establishing a correspondence between the electronic shelf label (5) and a product.

  • Publication number: 20100001924
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide techniques which allow for suppressing unnecessary switching of display screens of electronic shelf labels. In order to attain the object, an electronic shelf label 5 is located to correspond to a product, and displays product data of its corresponding product. The electronic shelf label 5 includes a display part 51, a control part 57 for switching a front screen SC1 and a back screen based on an instruction from a user to display on the display part 51. The display part 51 displays existence of information to be displayed on the back screen or update of the information on a region AR at upper right of the front screen SC1.

  • Publication number: 20090295592
Abstract: An electronic display medium includes a display component and a notification device. The display component is configured to display a display content. The notification device is configured to issue at least one of a visual notification output and an auditory notification output indicative of a display change on the display component to a user of the electronic display medium when the display content displayed on the display component is updated.

  • Patent number: 5052504
Abstract: A sales data transmission system includes a sales data processor such as a scale of the type capable of calculating and displaying a sales price from a unit price and a measured weight, a communication device which is made a part of this data processor and transmits and receives signals indicative of sales data and a memory unit which serves not only to receive and store the sales data transmitted from the communication device but also to transmit the stored sales data back to the communication device in response to a request signal therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4838368
Abstract: A manual combinatorial weighing apparatus having one or more weighing devices housed in a casing with each weighing device having a scale plate for placing articles thereon, and indicators associated with the weighing devices for indicating selected weighing devices. As many weighing devices in casings as desired by the user are provided in a desired layout. Weight data items of the articles put on the scale plates are combined to find a weight combination giving a desired total weight. The selected weighing devices are indicated by the indicators, which are held energized until the articles are removed from the selected weighing devices.

  • Patent number: 4790398
Abstract: A combinatorial weighing method includes reading and storing output data from a plurality of weighing machines, and monitoring the weighing state of each weighing machine at all times on the basis of the stored data. When performing a combinatorial calculation, weight data from weighing machines in a stable state is read and these weight data participate in the combinatorial calculation. A combinatorial weighing apparatus for practicing the foregoing method has a reading circuit for constantly reading output data from each of the weighing machines, a memory for storing the read data, a sensing circuit for sensing whether each weighing machine is in a stable state based on the stored data, and an arithmetic circuit for executing a combinatorial calculation based upon weight data from those weighing machines in a stable state.

  • Patent number: 4733363
Abstract: A control system for a combinatorial weighing or counting apparatus includes a main central processing unit for effecting a combinatorial arithmetic operation, and a plurality of individual drive unit central processing units. The drive unit central processing units are associated respectively with driver units of the weighing machines and connected to the main central processing unit for controlling the drive units, respectively. Operation commands delivered from the main central processing unit to the individual drive unit central processing units, are set by interrupt processes of the individual drive unit central processing units at all times. The control system for the combinatorial weighing or counting apparatus includes a main computer for chiefly effecting a combinatorial arithmetic operation on weight data from a plurality of the weighing machines to select a combination of weighing machines including articles having an optimum added value with respect to a target value.
