    Abstract: A socket for electrical parts, which is mounted on a circuit board, comprises a socket body on which the electrical part is accommodated, and a plurality of contactors disposed on the socket body for establishing an electrical connection between the circuit board and the electrical part. The socket body comprises a contact unit in which the contactors are held and the contact unit is comprised of plates to be superimposed. Each plate has a plurality of through holes through each of which the contactor is inserted. A hole size of the through holes of one plate being different from that of another plate which is directly disposed on the one plate so as to form a stepped portion between the through holes of the one plate and another plate. The stepped portion is used for preventing the contactor from coming off from the contact unit.

In such socket, each of the contact pins is provided with a pair of elastic pieces contacting the terminal of the electrical part, at least one of the elastic pieces is elastically deformed by the movement of the movable member so as to be contacted to or separated from the terminal of the electrical part, and when at least one of the elastic pieces is elastically deformed and separated from the terminal of the electrical part, the elastic pieces of the adjacent contact pins pass each other without contacting.

The first contact portion has a positioning step portion, which is engaged with a lead 16 of an IC, formed thereon. Then, the first positioning surface supports one of lead portion of the lead, and the second positioning surface is engaged with an outer side surface of another lead portion to have a slight space. This allows the IC to be positioned and supported at a predetermined position of the IC socket.

    Abstract: A socket for an electrical part comprises a socket body having a mount portion on which an electrical part having terminals is mounted, a number of contact pins to be contacted to or separated from the terminals of the electrical part and a movable plate disposed to the socket body to be movable perpendicularly with respect to the mount portion in a usable state of the socket. Each of the contact pins has a pair of elastic pieces formed, at front end portions thereof, with contact portions which are opened or closed in accordance with the movement of the movable plate thereby to establish an electrical connection between the contact portions and the terminals of the electrical part when the contact portions are closed. The movable plate is provided with cam portions arranged between adjacent contact pins, respectively, and when the movable plate is moved, the elastic pieces are pressed by a pair of cam portions disposed on both the sides of each of the contact pins thereby to open the contact portions.

    Abstract: An upper end portion of a steering knuckle is fastened to a pair of parallel flanges of a bracket secured to a lower end portion of the strut by a relative angle adjusting mechanism. The upper portion of the steering knuckle is adapted to swing about the pivoting bolt by turning the relative angle adjusting means to adjust a relative angle of the steering knuckle for setting a camber angle. One of the flanges is provided with a first guide opening extending crosswisely with respect to the axis of the strut whereas the other flange includes a second guide opening extending in parallel with the axis of the strut. The relative angle adjusting mechanism is provided with an adjust bolt having a larger diameter portion and a smaller diameter portion. The larger diameter portion is eccentric to the smaller diameter portion for easily adjusting the camber angle.
