  • Patent number: 6352343
Abstract: Gas-permeable hard contact lenses are produced by hot press-stretching a crosslined gas-permeable hard contact lens material and then machining the press-stretched material. The gas-permeable hard contact lenses are formed from a crosslinked gas permeable hard contact lens material which is hot press-stretched to have a compression ration of 5 to 50% and a compression-flexure fracture strength of 300 to 1,500 g. Efficiently produced gas-permeable hard contact lenses are produced which are free of optical strains, excellent in transparency, small internal stress and comfortable to wear with improved durability strength.

Abstract: An aggregation pattern detecting apparatus includes a microplate having a plurality of reactive vessels in which aggregation patterns are formed, a light source arranged above the microplate, and a light sensor arrangement positioned below the microplate. The microplate is removably fastened to a main body, and a movable frame is movably supported on the main body. The light source and light sensor arrangement are carried on the movable frame for movement therewith. A driving mechanism effects movement of the movable frame and is controlled by a main control section. A reference plate is provided separately from the microplate, and has a plurality of through holes therein which correspond to the reactive vessels of the microplate. The reference plate is removably fastenable to the main body at the normal operative position of the microplate.

  • Patent number: 5233668
Abstract: A method and apparatus for discriminating aggregation patterns includes detection of an image of the aggregation pattern and dividing the image into a plurality of image line data using a photoelectric element. The image line data defines an image waveform and includes a maximum image value. High and low image levels are defined based on the maximum image value. These high and low image levels are used to determine first and second areas of the aggregation pattern image, which first and second areas respectively include image values at least as large as the high and low image levels. An area difference between the first and second areas and a level difference between the high and low image levels are then calculated, along with a ratio of the area difference to the level difference. The calculated area difference and ratio are then compared with a predetermined reference value to discriminate whether or not the aggregation pattern is positive.

  • Patent number: 5230026
Abstract: An apparatus for discriminating a particle aggregation pattern includes a memory circuit for storing line data output from a CCD line sensor, which line data represents the aggregation pattern. A maximum value is obtained for each set of line data, and thereafter a further maximum value is obtained from the afore-mentioned previously obtained maximum values. A threshold value is determined on the basis of the further maximum value, and is then applied to the line data in order to extract therefrom information regarding the shape and area of the aggregation pattern. In another embodiment, the threshold value is determined on the basis of minimum values obtained from the line data.

  • Patent number: 5210612
Abstract: A CCD driving circuit for reading and outputting data from a plurality of CCD sensors, each CCD sensor being actuable to convert an image into data by first optically sensing the image during a first time period and thereafter converting the optically-sensed image into data during a second time period, including a driving arrangement for actuating the CCD sensors such that the first time periods associated therewith are staggered so that the second time periods associated therewith do not overlap each other. A multiplexing arrangement is provided for multiplexing and outputting the data read from each of the CCD sensors.

  • Patent number: 5176812
Abstract: A copper fin material for heat-exchangers is characterized in that, on the surface of Cu or Cu alloy strip, an inner side diffused layer comprising Cu and Zn and a surface side diffused layer provided on the surface side thereof comprising Cu, Zn and elements with a lower diffusion coefficient into Cu than that of Zn is formed. A method of producing the same is characterized in that, after an alloy film comprising Zn and element with a lower diffusion coefficient into Cu than that of Zn is formed on the surface of a Cu or Cu alloy strip, a diffusion treatment is performed under heat so that, on the surface of the Cu or Cu alloy strip, an inner side diffused layer comprising Cu and Zn and a surface side diffused layer provided on the surface side thereof comprising Cu, Zn and elements with a lower diffusion coefficient into Cu than that of Zn are formed. Alternatively, the diffusion treatment under heat is combined with a rolling processing step.

  • Patent number: 4892141
Abstract: A fin is provided, wherein a Cu-Zn diffused alloy layer with a Zn content of not less than 1 wt % is formed on at least a portion of the surface of Cu-based substrate for a fin. For the formation of such a Cu-Zn diffused alloy layer, Zn is allowed to diffuse thermally after covered the surface of Cu-based substrate with Zn or Zn alloy, and a rolling processing is carried out after the thermal diffusion to finish to a desired size. The Zn concentration of the fin decreases continuously from the outside surface of the Cu-Zn diffused layer to the interface between that layer and the Cu-based fin substrate.

  • Patent number: 4780957
Abstract: A rigid-type multilayer printed wiring board is produced by bonding a multilayer printed wiring sheet substantially comprising a thin insulating resin layer (1), at least one metal foil printed wiring layer (8, 11) and a plurality of conductive holes (7) formed through the two layers onto a metal board (10) through an insulation laminate (9). In according this method, a multilayer printed wiring interlayer sheet consisting of the multilayer printed wiring sheet retaining a printed wiring pattern unprocessed metal foil (2b) on one surface thereof is prepared first. In this case, a given printed wiring has already been processed on the other surface and sometimes in the inner portion of the interlayer sheet. Then, the other surface of the interlayer sheet is bonded to the surface of the metal board through the insulation laminate. Thereafter, a desired printed wiring pattern is formed on the printed wiring pattern unprocessed metal foil (2b) on the one surface of the interlayer sheet.
