  • Patent number: 6287300
Abstract: An optical fiber unit for medical examination and treatment according to the invention has an object of not requiring a light condensing lens group by tapering the tip end side of the optical fiber light guide. Optical fiber light guide 1 has flexibility and guides light including infrared rays emitted from a light source to probe 4 which is located at the tip end thereof, through a flexible guide tube 3. The tapered conduit part 5, the diameter of which is made smaller toward the tip end thereof condenses the light and allows the same to be emitted from the tip end plane of the probe 4. The rectilinear polarization plate 8 rectilinearly polarizes light including infrared rays emitted from the tip end plane of the tapered conduit part 5 and irradiates the same onto an affected part.

  • Patent number: 5850618
Abstract: Goals desired by a user are searched based on the search reference data that serve as reference for searching the goals, the order of priority of the goals is determined from a relationship between the data of goals and the data of a reference position, and the data of the thus determined order of priority are indicated. Even when the car is running, therefore, the user is allowed to easily select within a short time the goals that conform to his desire with reference to the order of priority. Accordingly, the user can devote himself to driving. When the goals are to be indicated, a map scale is so determined that the goals are indicated in a predetermined number or in a number not less than the predetermined number, and the goals are indicated on the map of this scale. Therefore, the scale of the map picture indicating the goals is automatically so adjusted, and can be easily discerned by the user. Therefore, the user is liberated from the need to manually adjust the reduced scale.

  • Patent number: 5199862
Abstract: A scroll type fluid machinery has a stationary scroll and a revolving scroll in which spiral wraps are set up at end plates, and are engaged with each other. A drive bushing is fitted rotatably into a boss projected at the central part of the outer surface of the end plate of the revolving scroll, and a drive pin projecting from the rotary shaft is fitted slidably into a slide hole bored in the drive bushing. A counter weight which generates a centrifugal force having an opposite direction to a centrifugal force acting on the revolving scroll at the time of revolving motion in a solar motion thereof is provided on the drive bushing. Further, the contact pressure between the wrap of the revolving scroll and the wrap of the stationary scroll is prevented from becoming excessive even at the time of high speed rotation of the rotary shaft.

  • Patent number: 5165879
Abstract: A scroll type fluid machinery has a stationary scroll and a revolving scroll having spiral wraps set up on inner surfaces of respective end plates in engagement with each other. A drive bushing is inserted rotatably into a boss which is projected at a central part of an outer surface of the end plate of the revolving scroll. An eccentric driving pin of a rotary shaft is fitted slidably into a slide groove bored through the drive bushing. A gap between one end of the slide groove in a direction that the radius of revolution becomes larger and the eccentric driving pin is set to a preset very small distance .delta. (here, .delta. is a value determined based on processing error, deformation due to temperature and pressure and the like of the above-mentioned respective scrolls) when the revolving scroll occupies a position of theoretical radius of revolution thereof.

  • Patent number: 5071603
Abstract: A method of controlling a hydraulic press wherein changing over from velocity control to pressure control can be effected at an optimum point of time in accordance with a condition of material being filled. When a movable mold half of a metal mold is moved by a hydraulic cylinder to compression mold a work within a cavity defined in the metal mold, the velocity of movement of the mold half by the hydraulic cylinder is controlled until pressurization of the work is started, but after starting of the pressurization, the pressurizing force of the hydraulic cylinder is controlled. During the velocity control, a parameter which varies as the compression proceeds is successively detected during the velocity control, and changing over from the velocity control to the pressure control is effected at a point of time when the detected parameter coincides with a preset value--that is, when the work is fully filled in the cavity.
