The electric wire inspection system includes: an inspection unit which performs electric wire inspection wherein a characteristic impedance between two conductive members of the electric wire is obtained as a response signal by time domain or frequency domain reflectometry; a storage unit which stores the response signal obtained at a first time point; and an analysis unit which retrieves the response signal obtained at the first time point from the storage unit, compares it with the response signal obtained at a second time point later than the first time point, and, if a difference exists between the two response signals, correlates a region in which the difference exists in the response signals with a position along an axial direction of the electric wire.
