    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device including a touch panel, a display panel opposed to the touch panel and an insulating material is provided. The touch panel includes a first substrate which is provided throughout a sensor area and a peripheral area, a first electrode and a second electrode, and an opposed portion which is located in an outermost periphery of the sensor area and where the first electrode and the second electrode are opposed to each other. The insulating material is located in a region overlapping the opposed portion or on a peripheral area side with respect to the opposed portion and contacts the touch panel and the display panel.
