Abstract: Power consumption is reduced in an analog-to-digital conversion circuit using a TDC. The analog-to-digital conversion circuit includes a comparator, a counter, a time-to-digital converter, and a holding unit. The comparator compares an analog signal with a predetermined reference signal and outputs a comparison result. The counter counts a predetermined count value and outputs a bit string indicating the count value. The time-to-digital converter converts, into a digital signal, a time from when the comparison result is inverted until a least significant bit of the bit string reaches a predetermined value. The holding unit holds the bit string of when the comparison result is inverted.

Abstract: In a method of controlling a liquid ejecting apparatus, where the liquid ejecting apparatus includes a pressure chamber that communicates with a nozzle that ejects a liquid, a drive element that changes a pressure of the liquid in the pressure chamber, and a drive circuit that supplies the drive element with an ejection pulse that generates a change in the pressure that ejects the liquid from the nozzle, the method includes specifying a viscosity of the liquid in the nozzle and a surface tension of the liquid in the nozzle from a residual vibration when the pressure of the liquid in the pressure chamber is changed, and controlling a waveform of the ejection pulse according to the viscosity and the surface tension.

In one example, an upstream circuit block generates a predetermined reset level and a plurality of signal levels each corresponding to an exposure amount, and causes capacitive elements, different from each other, to hold them. A selection circuit sequentially performs control to connect the capacitive element in which the reset level is held to a predetermined downstream node, control to disconnect capacitive elements from the downstream node, and control to connect the capacitive element in which any of the plurality of signal levels is held to the downstream node. A downstream reset transistor initializes a level of the downstream node when the capacitive elements are disconnected from the downstream node.

Furthermore, the transaction manager can rely on the list of outstanding transactions to be committed that is provided by the determiner resource for recovering the transaction. The transaction manager can commit an in-doubt transaction returned from a resource manager that matches the list of in-doubt transactions returned from the determiner resource. Otherwise, the transaction manager can roll back the in-doubt transaction.

The runtime object can allow for a partition administrator to monitor partition-scoped transaction statistics. Furthermore, the transaction manager can additionally account for resource group migration within the multitenant application server environment.

The comparator compares the resistance value of an external resistor and that of a replica resistor that forms a replica of a terminal resistor. The replica resistor control counter counts up and down based on the comparison result by the comparator to output a control signal to the replica resistor. The resistor-under-adjustment control signal holding circuit holds a control signal that is delivered to the terminal resistor.
