  • Patent number: 6213082
Abstract: The drive arrangement for the two-cycle engine employs a multi-lobe cam and piston rods which are reciprocated in a rectilinear manner. A roller is mounted on each piston rod to contact and be driven by the multi-lobe drive cam off the drive shaft of the engine. Each lobe of the drive cam is of non-symmetrical shape so that ignition is timed to take place prior to the full extension of the piston rod into an associated combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 5669340
Abstract: The two-cycle engine is constructed with a flywheel having pockets spaced about the periphery. The flywheel receives charges of combusted media at spaced apart points so as to rotate the flywheel. Each piston/cylinder arrangement for delivering power to the flywheel cooperates with a spring-biased counter-piston whereby after ignition, the counter-piston moves away from an associated piston to permit exhausting of the combusted mixture into a pocket of the rotating flywheel. The spring stores the energy caused by combustion and delivers the energy into the flywheel during exhaustion of the combusted mixture.

  • Patent number: 5490327
Abstract: The plastic retainer is of skeletal construction sized to receive a nail clipper. The side walls of the retainer receive the nail clipper in friction fit manner and define a chamber to receive nail clippings. In addition, the forward end of the nail clipper is received in a recessed position with the jaws of the nail clipper behind a front wall of the retainer. The forward end of the nail clipper can be moved to a raised operating position with the jaws of the nail clipper above the front wall and in an exposed position for nail cutting purposes. Projections are provided on the retainer at the forward end to prevent the forward end of the nail clipper from moving out of the retainer when being raised into the raised operating position.

  • Patent number: 5323537
Abstract: The cover for a nail clipper is made of plastic and is mounted over the cutting end of the nail clipper. The cover is movable from a position shielding the jaws of the nail clipper to a position permitting access to the jaws of the nail clipper. The cover includes a front wall to shield the jaws in the first position and an opening to provide access to the jaws of the second position. Shoulders are provided on the upper ends of the side walls to define a stop for abutting the nail clipper in the second position.

  • Patent number: 4387875
Abstract: The adjustable arm is made up of a pair of flexible members which can be interlocked with respect to each other via pairs of individual blocks which are spaced apart on a flexible strip. The blocks are provided with suitable projections and recesses to interfit into each other when brought together. The interfitting members define a hollow cross-sectional shape which is relatively rigid in an extended position and which provides a passageway for various components such as electrical wiring.
