    Abstract: The combination of an organic peroxide, a platinum-containing hydrosilation catalyst that is encapsulated within microparticles of a thermoplastic silicone resin, and acetylenic alcohol as the platinum catalyst inhibitor imparts a unique and desirable combination of properties to organosiloxane compositions curable by a platinum-catalyzed hydrosilylation reaction when the compositions contain a gum-type organopolysiloxane as the major ingredient. The compositions have long term storage stability and cure completely when molded. Cured articles molded from the compositions exhibit excellent mold release properties together with the absence of scorching, mold staining and surface tackiness.

    Abstract: A scattered-light smoke detector having an improved shield structure. A detector circuit is provided on a printed circuit board which is disposed at an upper portion of a smoke detecting section. The smoke detecting section includes a planar base and a surrounding wall extending downwardly from a lower surface of the base and having an opening or openings which allows or allow smoke to enter therethrough. The surrounding wall defines a smoke detecting space therein. A light emitting element and a photodetector element which are disposed at positions where they are not opposite each other and optical axes thereof intersect each other at a predetermined angle and said photodetector element can receive light from the light emitting element scattered by smoke entering the smoke detecting space. The printed circuit board is attached on an upper surface of the base. A shield layer is interposed between said printed circuit board and said base.

    Abstract: A light emitting unit and a photo sensing unit are separately arranged to face with each other, and a pulse light is emitted from the light emitting unit at every constant period, and the photo sensing unit receives the pulse light attenuated by a smoke, thereby detecting a fire. When a power source is turned on, a microcomputer in the photo sensing unit stores the first photo sensing data as an initial photo sensing data in a memory. The initial photo sensing data is fixedly stored and held and is not erased due to a temporary cut off of the power source. The photo sensing data is converted to correction photo sensing data using a correction ratio to perform the fouling correction and the fire is discriminated on the basis of the correction photo sensing data. The correction ratio is corrected when the correction period reaches 50 minutes. A correction amount of a single correction ratio is suppressed to a microvalue.

    Abstract: A photoelectric smoke sensor wherein a photo diode having a junction capacitance of 100 pH or less is employed and a resistor having a high resistance value of the order of mega-ohms is connected in series with the photo diode to obtain a photo output through the resistor, so that the voltage of the photo output may be sufficient to be directly subjected to comparison by the comparator without high-gain amplification even if the driving current for a light emitting diode is reduced. This enables omission of a high-gain amplifier and accordingly enables omission of a shield case for the circuits of the sensor which has been required to eliminate noises.
