  • Patent number: 4585222
Abstract: A paper sheet attracting system includes a suction air casing and a paper sheet attracting unit which has a bottom wall provided with a plurality of air intake openings. The paper sheet attracting unit is movably connected to the suction air casing via a flexible duct. The paper sheet attracting system further includes a pressure roller for depressing the paper sheets to be supplied. The paper sheet attracting unit is rotatable around the pressure roller, whereby the paper sheet attracting unit rotates, when driven by a drive motor, in a manner that a contacting point of the pressure roller and the paper sheets functions as a support point of the rotation. The attracting suction force created through the air intake openings is varied depending on the thickness of the paper sheet.

  • Patent number: 4328083
Abstract: In a method of mirror-finishing a cylindrical workpiece, according to which, with an abrasive matter and an electrolyte disposed at and supplied to each of the gaps between a cylindrical workpiece connected to the anode of a power supply and working electrodes connected to the cathode of the power supply and disposed oppositely to the outer surface or the inner surface of said cylindrical workpiece, an anodic liquation operation by electrolysis performed onto metal in the surface to be treated of the cylindrical workpiece is assisted with an abrasive operation by which anodic passive films generated on the surface to be treated are mechanically abrased by the abrasive matters, whereby the projected portions of the surface to be treated are electrolytically liquated and abrased preferentially, said method is characterized in that an electrolyte in a passive state is used, an electrolytic voltage to be used is in the range from a few V to about 15 V, the density of an electrolytic current to be used is about 10

  • Patent number: 4315322
Abstract: In an improved system for loading new microfiches, or updating previously stored microfiches, in a microfilm cassette library; a registration mode is provided whereby a keyboard operator can register keyword a and other index information for specific frames while these microimages are concurrently being projected on a viewing screen. Structures are included for receivingand holding fiches or cassettes being registered, for positioning frames for optical projection, and for reading magnetically encoded fiche identity data. Both buffer memory and file memory means are provided for storage of frame address information including cartridge identity, microfiche identity, X and Y axes coordinates, and other index data. Microcomputer means are provided for overall control of the registration of new fiches and for retrieval of same.

  • Patent number: 3998333
Abstract: A carrier for processing semiconductor materials consisting of a first removable mounting boat with supporting branches having grooves for receiving first type semiconductor substrates thereon, and a second mounting boat with a pair of elongated supporting members having grooves for receiving second type semiconductor substrates thereon. The mounting of the first type semiconductor substrates to the first boat can be independently performed and after this mounting, the first boat is then coupled with the second tupe semiconductor substrates. When the first and second boats are coupled, the two types of semiconductor substrates are aligned on the second mounting boat alternately between adjacent substrsates in a juxtaposed configuration. Thereby, handling of the two type of conductors are remarkably facilitated.
