Abstract: An information record/retrieval device registers information by storing retrieval information formed thereon and searches desired information by using the stored retrieval information. Retrieval information is formed in a specified format which can be entered through an image input device which feeds image information to a control processing unit.
Abstract: A sheet information input apparatus for an electronic file system comprises an sheet input device for inputting an image sheet into the apparatus, a sheet recognition device responsive to the input device for judging a type of specific code on the inputted sheet, and an information reading device responsive to the judging device for reading information from the sheet.
Abstract: A paper sheet attracting system includes a suction air casing and a paper sheet attracting unit which has a bottom wall provided with a plurality of air intake openings. The paper sheet attracting unit is movably connected to the suction air casing via a flexible duct. The paper sheet attracting system further includes a pressure roller for depressing the paper sheets to be supplied. The paper sheet attracting unit is rotatable around the pressure roller, whereby the paper sheet attracting unit rotates, when driven by a drive motor, in a manner that a contacting point of the pressure roller and the paper sheets functions as a support point of the rotation. The attracting suction force created through the air intake openings is varied depending on the thickness of the paper sheet.
Abstract: In a microwave oscillator having a metal frame which defines a cavity portion, a dielectric resonator which is received in the cavity portion, a trimmer plate which opposes to the dielectric resonator in the cavity portion, a flat plate which closes one open end face of the cavity portion and to which the trimmer plate is movably attached; the improvement wherein the cavity portion has a second open end face, and this open end face is closed by a second flat plate to which the dielectric resonator is fastened. The dielectric resonator is readily assembled, and the parallelism between the dielectric resonator and the trimmer plate is readily established.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of continuously processing a ribbonlike material. The method is characterized by comprising a preliminary polishing step in which surface defects of a material pulled out from an uncoiler are removed and the surface of the material is semi-finished by abrasion in combination with electrolytic polishing, a final polishing step in which the surface of the material is mirror-finished by abrasion in combination with electrolytic polishing, a washing and drying step in which the material is washed and dried with extraneous matter on the surface of the material washingly removed, a surface inspection step in which the thus finished surface of the material is inspected as to surface roughness and defects, a surface protection step in which a protective film is applied to the finished surface of the material, and a press step in which the material is cut into a predetermined size.
Abstract: The present application discloses an equipment for continuously processing a band-shape material comprising transverse sliding shafts disposed on a base table, a basal board which freely slides transversely along said transverse sliding shafts, transverse-feeding means by which said basal board is quickly and/or slowly moved transversely, vertical sliding shafts disposed on said basal board, a tool of abrasion in combination with elctrolytic polishing which freely slides vertically along said vertical sliding shafts, vertical-feeding means by which said tool is moved vertically against said basal board and a polishing head which is disposed on said tool and composed of electrodes for electrolysis and abrasive matters for abrasion and by which continuously sent band-shape material is polished.

Abstract: In an improved system for loading new microfiches, or updating previously stored microfiches, in a microfilm cassette library; a registration mode is provided whereby a keyboard operator can register keyword a and other index information for specific frames while these microimages are concurrently being projected on a viewing screen. Structures are included for receivingand holding fiches or cassettes being registered, for positioning frames for optical projection, and for reading magnetically encoded fiche identity data. Both buffer memory and file memory means are provided for storage of frame address information including cartridge identity, microfiche identity, X and Y axes coordinates, and other index data. Microcomputer means are provided for overall control of the registration of new fiches and for retrieval of same.
Abstract: A multi-item input/output display device is disclosed which includes a sheet bearing a plurality of markings indicative of respective items, a display matrix array provided for respective ones of the item markings on the sheet, a scanner for sequentially scanning those display elements in the array and a light pen carrying a light sensor and adapted to develop a code signal indicative of a specific selected item when the specific item is illustrated with the light pen, the code signal applied from outside being displayed by those display elements.

Abstract: A microfiche retrieval scheme having input means for introduction of index information indicative of desired subjects for retrieval, store means which provide pieces of frame address information for one or more microimages concerning the desired subjects in response to the index information and an optical system for projecting the selected microimages onto a viewing screen in accordance with the thus delivered frame address information. The above scheme further comprises a printer adapted to print out information contained on the microimages selected and transmitted to the optical system, a print control adapted to control the microfiche retrieval scheme and the printer and means for providing for the print control a signal indicating the printing out of the information of the selected microimages or that of their next succeeding microimages.
Abstract: A carrier for processing semiconductor materials consisting of a first removable mounting boat with supporting branches having grooves for receiving first type semiconductor substrates thereon, and a second mounting boat with a pair of elongated supporting members having grooves for receiving second type semiconductor substrates thereon. The mounting of the first type semiconductor substrates to the first boat can be independently performed and after this mounting, the first boat is then coupled with the second tupe semiconductor substrates. When the first and second boats are coupled, the two types of semiconductor substrates are aligned on the second mounting boat alternately between adjacent substrsates in a juxtaposed configuration. Thereby, handling of the two type of conductors are remarkably facilitated.
