  • Publication number: 20030168974
Abstract: An organic EL device is fabricated by a novel method to reduce the occurrence of poor luminescence in the organic EL device. An anode layer, a hole transporting layer, a luminescent layer, an electron transporting layer, and a cathode layer are laminated in this order on a substrate to form an organic EL device. In the organic EL device, the hole transporting layer is increased in thickness so that foreign particles adhering on the anode layer are substantially covered with the hole transporting layer.

  • Publication number: 20030160562
Abstract: The invention provides an electroluminescent display device that includes a substrate, a first electrode disposed above the substrate and a second electrode disposed above the first electrode. The device also includes an electroluminescent element disposed between the first and second electrodes, and a thin-film transistor driving the electroluminescent element. The electroluminescent element includes a light emitting layer. The second electrode is made of aluminum and has a thickness between 2000 Å and 10000 Å. Although defects may be formed during the initial formation of the second electrode, these defects are filled up by aluminum until the metal is deposited to a predetermined thickness.

  • Patent number: 6456404
Abstract: Image information which represents an object image and includes a logical operation table is input to a color convertor which converts the input image information into color image data including a black density component and a plurality of color density components. A data convertor converts the color image data into a linearly independent color image data by converting the blank density component into a plurality of color density components. A logical operator performs a logical operation on a plurality of color component data forming the linearly independent color image data on the basis of the logical operation table.

  • Patent number: 5259042
Abstract: A high quality binary valued image is reproduced from a multivalued original image by a combination of density pattern processing and error diffusion processing using density patterns prepared previously in correspondence to each density value of pixels of an image to be reproduced.

  • Patent number: 5193126
Abstract: Image deformation apparatus has memory units for storing image data, and coordinate transformation units for transforming coordinates of image data stored in the memory units so that the image data in the memory units can be treated as a two-dimensional image with use of a two-dimensional coordinate transformation unit. This enables formation of two-dimensional images such as magnified images and reduced images and the like, processed by two-dimensional image deformation.

  • Patent number: 4963230
Abstract: Disclosed herein is agricultural paper to be made into pots for raising seedlings. It is made up of a first layer made chiefly of natural pulp and a second layer made of synthetic fibers having a basis weight of 3-15 g/m.sup.2, said first layer and second layer being joined to each other by the wet papermaking process which intertwines the fibers of the two layers at their joining interface. The second layer is formed by fusion bonding composite synthetic fibers of polymers having different plasticizing temperatures.

  • Patent number: 4770534
Abstract: A method of determining the color difference between two similar colors including the steps of determining the tristimulus values for a reference color with which another color is to be compared, providing a planar chromaticity diagram for the values other than brightness in which the values for the reference colors are at the origin and the abscissa and ordinates of the diagram, determining the hue of the reference color and plotting in said diagram an equi-hue line, determining the tristimulus values for the other color to be compared to the reference color and plotting the values other than brightness on the diagram, plotting an equi-saturation line on the diagram perpendicular to the equi-hue line and extending through the origin, plotting lines parallel to the equi-hue and equi-saturation lines through the position of the plotted values for the other color and extending across the equi-hue and equi-saturation lines, so that the difference in the tristimulus values for the other color from the reference c

  • Patent number: 4607790
Abstract: A cycle time/temperature controller for a combination corrosion tester includes a device for setting a loop number and a number of repetitions of that loop, a device for setting a sequence of test items within a loop including: a test temperature, a test humidity, and an operating time; the controller also includes a generator for generating an operative signal and a device for enabling the start of operation according to an external start signal and an output circuit for outputting a contact output corresponding to each test item for the set operating time; adjustment outputs for dry bulb and wet bulb temperatures are also provided, each output providing adjustments at the set test temperature and the set test humidity. The controller displays the current loop number and the number of repetitions and also displays: the test item number, the dry bulb temperature, the wet bulb temperature, the wet bulb temperature or humidity, and the time elapsed, during its operation.
