  • Patent number: 4999558
Abstract: A position control system is disclosed for positioning a stepping motor to a target position according to a closed loop control system. The closed loop control system controls the position of the stepping motor according to a current position signal outputted from an encoder operatively coupled to the stepping motor. Furthermore, circuitry is provided for correcting electrically a torque angle error of the stepping motor caused by a positional error between the stepping motor and the encoder due to a mechanical mounting error of the encoder, to thereby drive the stepping motor at a torque angle maintained at the most desirable range.

  • Patent number: 4954905
Abstract: A data transducer position control system for data disk storage drive system involves an electronically and mechanically improved method and apparatus for position control of the data transducer adapted to write and/or read information data in and/or from the data tracks provided on a data disk. Particularly, the system comprises a positioning device for actuating the data transducer, a position encoder for detecting the position of the data transducer, a tracking error detector for detecting the relative position of the data transducer to the selected data track, and compensating position calculator for precise tracking so that the speed-up of track access can be effected, that the accuracy in positioning can be improved, that the system itself can be compact in size and reduced in energy consumption, and that the control electronic system can also be simple in arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4713697
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel camera apparatus which can be discretely split into two parts; a lens barrel unit and a lens-barrel-support unit which allows the lens barrel unit to freely turn its direction. A built-in angular rate detector detects a swinging movement of the lens barrel unit, whereas a position detector detects a position relationship between the lens barrel unit and the support unit. An operator unit storing programs controls a drive operation of an actuator that generates a specific amount of torque between the lens barrel unit and the support unit to reduce an output from a system controller unit so that swinging symptom of video picture caused by the swinging movement of the video camera can be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 4350510
Abstract: A centrifugal separator comprises a centrifugation chamber, gas inlet ports for introducing a gas into the centrifugation chamber so as to whirl the gas, a clean gas discharge pipe provided on the upper portion of the centrifugation chamber, and a guide member secured to the lower portion of the centrifugation chamber. The guide member has an annular groove, outer fine holes made in the groove, a guide portion projecting conically inward the centrifugation chamber, and an inner hole made in the center of the guide portion. A gas including particles is introduced into the centrifugation chamber, in which the particles are separated. The separated particles are trapped in the groove with gas, then discharged from the outer holes. The clean gas removed of the particles is guided by the guide member to direct to the gas discharge pipe, at the same time the particles with gas toward the guide member also are guided by the guide member to be subjected to the centrifugal force.

  • Patent number: 4281608
Abstract: In sewing work for attaching slide fastener chains to fabric or leather articles, a device for controlling the traveling velocity of the fastener chain is provided, comprising a pair of upper and lower cantilever members supported by a supporting member on the table of a sewing machine. The lower cantilever is fixed to form a space between its under side and the table surface, while the upper cantilever is movable toward and apart from the lower cantilever. A suitable frictional resistance is imparted to the fastener chain traveling between the two cantilevers when the upper, movable cantilever is laid on the lower, fixed cantilever. The movement of the upper cantilever is linked to the raising and lowering mechanism of the presser foot of the sewing machine. This device serves to keep the traveling fastener chain from puckering or waving.
