  • Publication number: 20050060859
Abstract: A numerically controlled machine tool that is capable of simultaneously effecting a variety of machining operations using work on a first main shaft and work on a second main shaft, with a high machining efficiency. A first tool post 300 is movable together with a second main shaft 210 in the direction of a main shaft axis C2 and in a direction X1 orthogonal thereto in a plane, while a second tool post 400 is movable at least in the same biaxial direction as the directions of movement of the first tool post 300. A control device superposes the uniaxial or biaxial movement required for the first tool post 300 to machine work W1 on the uniaxial or biaxial movement required for the second tool post 400 to machine work W2, and issues an instruction for movement to the first tool post 300 or second tool post 400, so that the machining operation of the work W1 by the tool on the first tool post 300 and the machining operation of the work W2 by the tool on the second tool post 400 are simultaneously effected.

  • Patent number: 6609441
Abstract: A turret tool rest (14) includes a turret (24) movably supported on a base (22), on which desired tools can be mounted at predetermined indexable angled positions. A pair of coupling elements (66, 68), which can be engaged with each other, are arranged between the base (22) and the turret (24). The coupling elements (66, 68) are moved between an engaged position at which they are mutually engaged to fixedly hold the turret at respective indexed positions on the base, and a disengaged position at which they are mutually disengaged to permit the turret to be rotationally indexed. A spring-loaded plunger unit (80) serves to prevent the turret (24) from freely rotating on the base (22),until the coupling elements (66, 68) are fully engaged with each other, during the moving operation of the coupling elements between the engaged and disengaged positions.

  • Publication number: 20030139203
Abstract: A telephone directory database is established in a mobile phone terminal. When a calling operation is executed in the mobile phone terminal, data included in the telephone directory database is sent out into the data network. A server computer in the central office may receive the data. The received data is registered into a database for backup data in the server computer. The backup data for the telephone directory database is reliably prepared in the server computer in this manner. A user of the mobile phone terminal is allowed to easily reestablish the telephone directory database in a new mobile phone terminal based on the backup data.

  • Patent number: 6257111
Abstract: A turret (24) is clamped on a tool rest body (22) by a pair of coupling elements (66, 68). During a rotational indexing operation for a tool selection, the tool rest body (22) and the turret (24) are moved relative to each other along a Z-axis, to disengage the coupling elements (66, 68) and thus unclamp the turret (24). At this time, the tool rest body (22) is moved relative to a lathe base (10) along the Z-axis, synchronously to the relative movement of the tool rest body (22) and the turret (24) along the Z-axis. The direction and distance of the motion of the tool rest body (22) relative to the lathe base (10) is adjusted so as to eliminate the relative movement between the turret (24) and a spindle stock (12). This motional control serves to prevent the turret (24) and a tool attached thereto from moving relative to the spindle stock (12) and a workpiece, whereby the problem of interference between these components can be solved.

  • Patent number: 6257109
Abstract: A turret (11) is clamped to a tool rest main body (10) by a pair of coupling members (27). During indexing rotation for selecting a tool, the tool rest main body (10) and the turret (11) are moved relatively in a Z-axis direction, and the pair of coupling members (27) are unclamped. At this time, the tool rest main body (10) is moved in the Z-axis direction relative to a lathe main body (100) in synchronism with the relative movement in the Z-axis direction between the tool rest main body (10) and the turret (11). This movement of the tool rest main body (10) is adjusted in direction and moving distance so that the relative movement between the turret (11) and a spindle table (1) is eliminated. As a result of this movement control, the turret (11) and the tool fitted to the former do not have relative displacement to the spindle table (1) and to a work, so that the danger of mutual interference among these constituent elements and the work can be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 6016729
Abstract: Positioning engaging members (27) are provided between a base table (10) and a turret (11) which is indexed relative to the base table (10) by a driving force of an indexing/tool turning motor (32) so as to be engageable with or disengageable from each other. The positioning engaging members (27) engage with each other to prevent the turret (11) from turning. Further, the driving force of the indexing/tool turning motor (32) is transmitted or not transmitted to the turret (11) by clutch pieces (31). The driving force of the indexing/tool turning motor (32) is transmitted to a turning tool (14) mounted on tool mounting portions (12) of the turret (11) via a power transmission member. The positioning engaging members (27) engage with or disengage from each other by an engaging unit.

  • Patent number: 5960676
Abstract: An indexing device comprising a base table (10), a turret (11) which indexes about a given rotary center relative to the base table (10), a pair of positioning engaging members (27) provided between the base table (10) and the turret (11), wherein at least one of the positioning engaging members (27) has an inclined tooth profile, and the positioning engaging members (27) are engageable with and disengageable from each other relative to the tooth profiles when they move in axial directions thereof relative to each other. The meshing of the tooth profiles are maintained by applying a pressing force to at least one of the positioning engaging members (27). When the turret (11) receives a load, a positioning displacement which occurs between the pair of positioning engaging members (27) is detected, and the pressing force applied to the positioning engaging members (27) is adjusted based on the result of detection.

  • Patent number: 4846168
Abstract: An inhaler in use for inhaling pharmaceutical powdered preparations through the mouth and making the same reach a trachea, bronchi and pulmonary cells. The inhaler has a generally bent form with a predetermined bend angle, preferably, at 60 degrees. The inhaler includes a hollow body, a capsule holding portion for receiving and holding a capsule, and an inhaling section. The capsule holding portion is rotated relative to a hollow body, whereby the capsule is divided into two including a barrel and a head, so that the powdered preparations can fall into the hollow body. The powdered preparations, which have fallen into the hollow body can be inhaled into a human body together with intake air flowing through air intake openings provided in the capsule holding portion by mouth suction applied to the inhaling section. The capsule barrel which has fallen into the hollow body is prevented from being inhaled into the human body due to the presence of a porous member.
