Patent number: 6760027Abstract: In a navigation system using a bird's-eye view display mode, map data on a plan view map are subjected to a perspective projection conversion to obtain drawing data on a bird's-eye view map. An input of the position of a view point is accepted, and a projection plane for a bird's-eye view is determined so that the display positions of the two points which have been subjected to perspective-projection conversion are coincident with predetermined positions. Alternatively, an input of a scale is accepted, so that the display positions of the two points after the perspective projection conversion are coincident with predetermined positions and the drawing scale is coincident with the input scale. In a further alternative, an input of the projection angle is accepted, and the projection plane is determined on the basis of the projection angle and the position of the view point.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2003Date of Patent: July 6, 2004Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Xanavi Informatics CorporationInventors: Yoshinori Endo, Toshio Fujiwara, Hiroyuki Satake, Hiroshi Shojima, Norimasa Kishi, Masaki Watanabe, Motoki Hirano

Publication number: 20030135387Abstract: A transmitter-receiver 11 accepts delinquency information indicating a delinquent situation of a repairing reserve to be paid by a comparted owner of an apartment house from a financial institution terminal 3. On the basis of the delinquency information, a delinquency rate forecasting unit 21 forecasts an average delinquency rate and its standard deviation. A marginal stress searching unit 20 calculates a cumulative reserve and calculates a marginal stress under a constraint that a cumulative reserve is not below an expenditure. A less marginal probability calculating unit 21 calculates a probability of the marginal stress or less. A permissible risk checking unit 18 checks whether or not its probability is within a tolerance range, and a revised amount calculating unit 17 revises a repairing reserve amount if the probability is beyond the tolerance range.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2003Publication date: July 17, 2003Applicant: HITACHI, LTD.Inventors: Yuichi Ikeda, Hiroshi Shojima, Yoshiaki Usami, Masanori Miyoshi

Publication number: 20030009363Abstract: Even if a layout of a facility is appropriate in the beginning, the layout may gradually become inappropriate with the passage of time. However, since the conventional technologies can not automatically grasp the appropriateness of layout at present, there has been a problem that it is impossible to change the layout of the facility at an appropriate timing.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2002Publication date: January 9, 2003Inventors: Masanori Miyoshi, Hiroshi Shojima, Yoshiaki Usami, Kazuya Takahashi

Publication number: 20030009364Abstract: Since it is not possible to automatically determine the appropriateness of a layout at present, there has been a problem in that it is impossible to change the layout of the facility at an appropriate timing. To solve this problem, the appropriateness a facility is judged based on a movement cost calculated using an automatically measured flow line of a moving body. In order to attain such a result, flow line-measuring is carried out for measuring the flow line of a moving body by detecting the moving body as an object to be monitored; movement cost-calculating is carried out for calculating a cost expended on movement of the moving body derived from low line information; and movement cost-evaluating is carried out for judging whether or not a cost calculated by the movement cost-calculating process is within a permissible range.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 1, 2002Publication date: January 9, 2003Inventors: Masanori Miyoshi, Hiroshi Shojima, Yoshiaki Usami, Kazuya Takahashi

Publication number: 20020178040Abstract: It is difficult for the facility owner to decide a most suitable combination from many maintenance companies by himself. Further, it is difficult to evaluate maintenance services only by price. In order to solve the above problem, when the facility manager is entrusted with management of the facilities from the facility owner, he analyzes the service characteristics of the facility maintenance companies, prepares combinations of maintenance companies having a same service trend, and indicates maintenance information of the facilities and an evaluated value on the basis of opinions of users and the facility companies select maintenance services of facility management from the combinations by referring to the evaluated value. In this case, the service evaluated value on the basis of the maintenance information of the facilities and users' opinions is also indicated at the same time.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 17, 2002Publication date: November 28, 2002Inventors: Yoshiaki Usami, Masanori Miyoshi, Hiroshi Shojima

Patent number: 6476796Abstract: A display device has a touch pad and a display lamintated together to form a screen, That screen is connected to a controller which processes signals generated by physical contact with the touch pad and activates the display to display e.g. characters input by a stylus to the touch pad. The display device is connected to an external device (e.g. a computer) and video signals from the external device are received via a video input and may be displayed on the display. Also the controller can transmit to the external device via an output. Thus, the display can display simultaneously information from the external device and information input to the touch pad. If the controller is arranged to carry out character recognition, the display device may then act as a hand-writing input device, with the handwritten information being incorporated with information in the external device and displayed.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 1999Date of Patent: November 5, 2002Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Soshiro Kuzunuki, Yasushi Fukunaga, Hiroshi Shojima, Masaki Miura, Toshimi Yokota

Publication number: 20020126161Abstract: An information processing system includes a desk with a planar display unit which also accommodates physical objects to be manipulated by the operator. The physical objects are representative of physical objects normally used in office environments when handling paper files. A camera is provided which continuously monitors the desk display surface and is coupled to an electronic computer which can be controlled by the operator by moving the physical objects and the operator hands to simulate paper processing tasks, such as mailing, faxing, filing, opening files, editing and the like. An operator driven menu is provided on the desk display surface for facilitating operator classification and storage of physical object shapes of those physical objects which are to be used.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2001Publication date: September 12, 2002Applicant: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Soshiro Kuzunuki, Toshifumi Arai, Tadaaki Kitamura, Hiroshi Shojima
