  • Publication number: 20130011724
Abstract: The electric terminal includes a press surface, which is formed as a flat surface extending from the outer circumferential section towards the inside, on the edge of the case in the direction in which the through hole extends. The electric terminal is inserted into the through hole with the insulating member therebetween, and the press surface of the electric terminal is pressed. As a consequence, a portion of the outer circumferential section of the electric terminal expands towards the inner circumferential surface side of the through hole, thereby forming an expanded portion. The electric terminal is secured to the through hole by means of the surface pressure applied by the expanded section. As a result, it is possible to provide a battery which exerts excellent sealing properties at the position in which the case and the electric terminal are secured.

  • Publication number: 20120115018
Abstract: A method for producing a solid-state cell which makes it possible to produce a highly reliable solid-state cell that suppresses a decrease in the thickness of the solid electrolyte layer and a short circuit between the positive and negative electrodes, and which is highly flexible in the size and shape of the solid electrolyte layer and electrodes. The method comprising: a structure preparing step for preparing a first structure, a second structure, or a third structure, a solid electrolyte material powder layer, and a positive electrode material powder layer are stacked, in this sequence; an insulating member disposing step for disposing a heat-resistant insulating member which is in contact with an outer periphery of the structure in the stacking direction of the structure and surrounds the outer periphery; and a heat-compressing step for heat-compressing the structure and heat-resistant insulating member, in the stacking direction of the structure.

  • Publication number: 20120115022
Abstract: The present invention provides a step (S1) for manufacturing a battery (10), which includes a case (30) having through holes (33), electric terminals (40) projecting outward from the case (30) and fixed to the holes (33), and insulating members (50) interposed between the case (30) and the terminals (40). In the step (S1), a flanged portion (34) standing out from the case (30), located around the hole (33) is formed, a reinforcing member (35) is fitted to the outer periphery of the flanged portion (34) that reinforces against the outward force applied to the flanged portion (34), and the terminal (40) and the insulating member (50) are inserted into the flanged portion (34), and then the flanged portion (34) is press-fitted from the outside of the case (30) for fixing the terminal (40) to the hole (33). According to the present invention, the battery with high sealing property at the fitted portion among the case and the terminal.

  • Publication number: 20110212349
Abstract: Provided is a technology for detecting abnormal temperature rise of a battery regardless of the number of batteries, and preventing a trouble caused by abnormal temperature rise. A battery production facility (30) for producing a secondary battery (1) comprises an abnormality detector (40) for detecting abnormal state (especially, abnormal temperature rise) of a plurality of secondary batteries (1, 1, . . . ), and a detector (45) for generating a control signal in order to take a predetermined step according to the detection result from the abnormality detector (40).

  • Publication number: 20100092858
Abstract: The first aspect of the present invention is a terminal unit which contains an electrode part disposed in a case, for connecting with an electrode body and a terminal part having a rod shape with a first end and a second end, the first end for fixing to the electrode part, and the second end extending outside of the case. In one embodiment of the first aspect of the invention, the electrode part includes an insert hole into which the terminal part is inserted, the terminal part comprises an insert portion having an insert portion having a larger diameter than that of the hole and formed at the first end and a tip portion having a smaller diameter than that of the hole and formed at the nearer side of the first end than the insert portion. And, the clinch portion is press fitted into the insert hole, thereby fixing the terminal part to the electrode part. According to the present invention, the varying of electric conductivity in the terminal unit is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20100021811
Abstract: A sealed battery includes a battery container, a lid body attached to an opening portion of the battery container, and a terminal extraction portion provided on a lid main body of the lid body. The battery container is sealed by joining an opening peripheral edge portion thereof to a peripheral edge portion of the lid body and crimping an electrode terminal inserted into the terminal extraction portion using the terminal extraction portion. At least a part of the terminal extraction portion in which the crimp is formed is constituted by a metallic material having a higher strength than a part of the lid body that is joined to the battery container.
