  • Patent number: 4887073
Abstract: A ceiling mounted fire detector comprises a detector 10 and a mount base 20 installed into a ceiling surface 1. The detector 10 includes a sensor unit 12 which, upon sensing a fire condition, produces an electrical signal to be transmitted to a control center through a signal line routed in the ceiling. The mount base 20 is provided in the form of a bottom-opened and top-closed barrel to receive therein the detector 10. Provided on the detector 10 is a pair of conductor prongs 15 by which the detector 10 is electrically and physically connected to the mount base 20. The mount base 20 includes a pair of sockets 23 for connection with the conductor prongs 15 and includes corresponding number of terminals 25 for wiring connection with the signal line for completing the electrical path from the detector 10 to the signal line.

  • Patent number: 4576672
Abstract: An apparatus for the production of reinforcement non-woven net fabric which is provided with selvage nipping devices for nipping selvages of a weft sheet constituted by loop end portions of reaches of weft thread on both sides of the weft sheet and advancing the weft sheet with the weft thread reaches laterally tensioned, an adhesive applying device for coating thermoplastic adhesive on the weft sheet being nipped by the selvage nipping devices except for the selvage portion of the weft sheet, a heating device for drying and melting the adhesive on the weft sheet, and a sheet pressing device for pressing and bonding to each other the weft sheet with melted adhesive thereon and a preheated warp sheet. During applying of the adhesive the weft thread reaches can be maintained exactly straight and in parallel and spaced relationship, and no adhesive is applied to most of the warp thread, other than at the intersection points with the weft sheet.

  • Patent number: 4460633
Abstract: The present invention provides a non-woven reinforcements for resinous composite. The reinforcements are constructed with warps consisting of non-twist yarns or soft twist yarns of multi-filament having a high strength and a high modulus on one or both sides of wefts of non-twist yarns of soft twist yarns containing adhesive agent, in which the warps and the wefts are bonded at intersections thereof. As the reinforcement of the present invention has no flexure different from a woven fabric, fiber's physical property such as a high strength, a high modulus and the like is reflected faultlessly on the composite using the reinforcement. In the reinforcement warp is not substantially restrained, so that matrix resin can be impregnated sufficiently into the reinforcement.Further, because the warps and wefts are bonded at intersections by adhesion, the reinforcement is much easier to be handled without deformation or falling off especially after cutting than the case of a woven fabric.
