  • Patent number: 7479574
Abstract: A process for producing muscone by methyl addition to the 1,4-conjugation of 2-cyclopentadecenone. By the process, muscone is produced in high yield not under reaction condition including an extremely low temperature and a low concentration but under practical condition. The process comprises subjecting 2-cyclopentadecenone to a 1,4-conjugation addition reaction with an organometallic methylation reagent in the presence of a copper or nickel catalyst and an enol anion scavenger to obtain a 3-methyl-1-cyclopentadecene derivative represented by General Formula (II) and then solvolyzing the enol moiety of the 3-methyl-1-cyclopentadecene derivative to obtain muscone.

  • Publication number: 20080135748
Abstract: A mesh (M) having an ellipsoid shape or a shape close to the ellipsoid shape is attached to an electrode (EL1) among electrodes (EL1 to ELn). Voltages of the later-stage electrodes (EL2 to ELn) are appropriately set. With this arrangement, a local negative spherical aberration generated by the mesh (M) is cancelled out with a positive spherical aberration. This optimizes an electric field distribution. As a result, this realizes an electrostatic lens whose acceptance angle is extended to about±60°.

  • Publication number: 20070281183
Abstract: An objective is to provide a film formation method with which a layer having reduced defects, a die obtained by the film formation method, and a method of manufacturing the die. Free carbons increase in the case of reducing hydrogen gas as a carrier gas, so that concave portions are generated and increased during the molding transfer surface process. It was commonly known that hydrogen gas employed for the thermal CVD was set to 2 moles, but it was found out that generation of concave portions was possible to be largely inhibited by setting hydrogen gas to at least 3 moles. However, a level of up to 8 moles is preferable in view of practical use, since dilution of the total raw material gas causes a decline of reaction speed in the case of too much increase of hydrogen gas, resulting in the low speed of film formation.

  • Publication number: 20070180961
Abstract: In the assembly of vibration body, the first width in the lateral direction (X axis direction) is greater than the second width in the longitudinal direction (Y axis direction) in the cross sectional form perpendicular to Z axis of the first portion on the tip side from the closest node position, thereby, the rigidity of a vibration body main part in the X axis direction can be enhanced, and lateral bending vibrations on fixing portion can be restrained. Consequently, an object can be processed highly accurately by the assembly of vibration body that is controlled with a high precision.

  • Publication number: 20070164636
Abstract: In a vibration cutting unit, a root portion of a holding member for supporting a vibration body is fixed on a fixed portion of a node portion which is common to axial vibration and bending vibration, on a jointless basis. Therefore, the node portion, namely, a vibration body main part is firmly fixed, thereby, the vibration body main part is supported stably, and vibrations of the vibration body main part is stabilized. In other words, vibrations under the mode where the vibration body main part cannot be controlled can be restrained, and works representing objects to be processed can be processed accurately.
