Because prismatic blanks are obtained from a three-layer laminate and semi-completed tips are cut out from the prismatic blanks like this, the semi-completed tips can be obtained in large numbers, yield is high, and the manufacturing cost of the tip can be reduced.

    Abstract: In a system for producing an animation on a computer by use of keyframes, shapes are drawn on the basis of the positions of vertices designated by a user without direct manipulation of control points for Bézier curve so that there is little problem even in the case where a line drawing of each handwritten keyframe is broken discontinuously. To this end, Bézier curves are automatically generated to draw shapes by fetching a plurality of keyframes written on paper into a computer and then setting vertices of only first one of the keyframes. On this occasion, an optimum path connecting the position of each of the set vertices to the current cursor position is calculated. The path is approximated by a cubic equation. A Bézier curve is defined on the basis of comparison of coefficients of respective terms in the equation with coefficients in the Bézier curve.

An air bubble dispersing member having at least one passage hole with a diameter the same as or larger than a length of a gap defined between the insertion electrode and the inner surface of the cylinder is arranged upstream of a plating solution inlet portion of the hollow cylinder as an apparatus for dispersing air bubbles within the composite plating solution. The air bubble dispersing member can also be used as an electrode engaging member for engaging a tip end portion of the electrode inserted into the hollow cylinder.

When the vehicle speed is below the lowest speed limit, the power supply to the throttle actuator is interrupted so that the cruise control by means of the throttle actuator is cancelled.

    Abstract: A system and method for automatically controlling a vehicle speed to a desired cruise speed includes an inhibit switch connected in parallel to a line between a power supply and a main self hold power supply switch (self-hold type) of an automatic cruise controlling system. When the vehicle speed is below a predetermined value, the inhibit switch is open so that the automatic cruise speed controlling system cannot receive power via the main, switch. Thus, wasteful comsumption of power is reduced.
