  • Patent number: 8954813
Abstract: According to one embodiment, two memory systems each including a memory and a controller are connected via a communication line. The controller includes a testing unit that performs a self-test process on the memory, a communication unit that communicates with the counterpart controller, and a status output unit. The communication unit performs a startup synchronization process which is performed before the self-test process and a termination synchronization process which is performed after the self-test process. The testing unit obtains a comprehensive test result from the test results of the two memory systems, and the status output unit of one memory system outputs the comprehensive test result.

  • Publication number: 20140339305
Abstract: An authentication registration/invalidation apparatus is provided, which allows easy invalidation of an authentication tag when the authentication tag is lost, and facilitates management of authentication tags. When an RFID reader (2) receives an RFID signal including an instruction of invalidation, which is transmitted from an operation tag (10b) in a recognition area (A), an invalidation unit (32b) sets an operation mode to an invalidation enabled mode. If an RFID tag recognizer (31a) recognizes an authentication tag (10a) before or after the setting of the invalidation enabled mode, the invalidation unit 32b invalidates the authentication tag (10a), or invalidates all authentication tags (10a) that belong to a group to which the authentication tag belongs.

  • Patent number: 8214579
Abstract: In a case where at least one of physical blocks composing the virtual block becomes a defective block, use of the virtual block to which the defective block belongs is forbidden and the virtual block of which use is forbidden is managed as a defective virtual block. Replacing the defective block with a normal block is performed among the defective virtual blocks so as to generate the virtual block to which the defective block does not belong. • Patent number: 7191109
Abstract: In a PET apparatus 1, in a calculation processing unit 50, for each frame, radiation data for a region of interest K of a measurement-subjected part H is extracted, and then the optimum administration rate of a labeled substance T is calculated based on the radiation data such that the radiation concentration for the region of interest K will be steady regardless of the physiological state (blood flow rate etc.) of the subject S. In an administration rate control unit 60, feedback control of the administration rate of the labeled substance into the subject S is carried out based on the calculated optimum administration condition. As a result, the change in the amount accumulated of the labeled substance T in the region of interest K between before and after administration of a drug being tested Y can be obtained easily and precisely in real time as the amount of change in the radiation concentration, and it becomes possible to grasp the measurement results rapidly and easily.

  • Patent number: 6756910
Abstract: Cameras take images of a predetermined area around a door. A distance measurement unit measures a distance from the cameras to each object in the taken images. Based on the measured distance, a floor detection unit detects a floor, and an object height/position detection unit detects a height and position of any object other than the floor. A door position detection unit and a door position identification unit 57 specify position of the door (i.e. open or closed) in the images taken by the cameras. A judgement unit judges presence or absence of an object which is neither the floor nor the door. If an object other than the floor and the door is observed in the images taken by the cameras, an output unit produces an object detection signal, so that the door is kept in an open state.
