  • Patent number: 5267141
Abstract: In an application control apparatus or method for a machining unit such as an electric discharge machine, a plurality of methods of realizing desirable machining states such as those on machining know how techniques are independently described and stored as knowledge, and control is carried out according to the methods thus stored, whereby the machining unit is maintained in desirable state at all times.

  • Patent number: 4446520
Abstract: Stitching data according to a desired sewing pattern is successively stored as incremental data between adjacent stitches. When all of the stitching data as thus stored is transferred into a storing medium for controlling feeding of cloth in an automatic sewing machine, the incremental data is successively added to compute sewing pattern coordinates. All of the sewing pattern coordinates are used to produce an image reference position of the sewing data on a monitor display screen. The image reference position and the sewing pattern coordinates are computed to produce monitor display pattern coordinates, and a sewing pattern based on the monitor display pattern coordinates is displayed on the monitor display screen to allow confirmation of the sewing data before the latter is transferred into the storing medium.

  • Patent number: 4444134
Abstract: A computer controlled pattern stitching machine includes input means 30 for supplying BCD X and Y-axis scaling signals to enlarge or contract a pattern to be sewn, control means 28 including a CPU 58, a RAM 60 and a memory 62, and drive means 32 including X and Y-axis stepping motors for moving a gripped fabric relative to a needle bar in response to signals from the control means. The stepping motors 42, 44 drive respective timing belts 66, 78, and belt 66 carries orthogonally mounted X and Y-axis rail members 70, 84 on which a cloth holding device 68 is secured.

  • Patent number: 4429364
Abstract: A sewing machine-pattern data processor including a coordinate input device for outputting coordinate positions on a plane by means of a manually operable stylus; an arithmetic and logic unit which receives the sewing machine pattern data input from the coordinate input device to convert the data to command data for a predetermined sewing machine unit control operation; a memory for memorizing the command data converted by the arithmetic and logic unit; and a write-in device which reads out the data of the memory to write-in a non-volatile recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4249704
Abstract: A rotary annulus holding a tape feed reel is moved along a taped body while revolving about the body in a plane normal to its longitudinal axis to wind a tape around the body under the control of a small-scaled computer. The computer stores many coordinate points describing the longitudinal axis of the body and, assuming that the longitudinal axis approximates to a series of broken lines defined by the coordinate points, it calculates a command position of the annulus from every three selected coordinate points adjacent to its actual position, a command speed of rotation and command angles of rotation of the annulus required for keeping its plane of revolution normal to the longitudinal axis of the body at the command position of the annulus.
