    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, a post-processor, storage, a first tray, a sensor, a display section, and a controller. The image forming section forms an image on paper. The post-processor staples or non-staples the paper, on which the image has been formed, to be ejected. The storage stores therein an operation history indicating that the post-processor has stapled the paper. The first tray holds the paper ejected from the post-processor. The sensor detects whether or not the paper ejected from the post-processor remains on the first tray. The display section displays a massage to a user. If it is determined from the operation history stored in the storage and a result of detection by the sensor that the stapled paper remains on the first tray, the controller controls the display section so that the display section displays a message saying that the stapled paper remains on the first tray.
