  • Publication number: 20200397384
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system, method and software applications for predicting the KAM of a subject for a plurality of gait cycles of a subject. At least one sensor attachable adjacent to the ankle of at least one leg of the subject provides accelerometer and gyroscopic data for the plurality of gait cycles. A processing means receives subject parameters and accelerometer and gyroscopic data from the at least one sensor for evaluation by a neural network of predicted KAM values for the plurality of gait cycles of the subject. The neural network is configured via determining KAM values for each of the plurality of subjects from measurements during a plurality of gait cycles and other parameters.

  • Publication number: 20200202102
Abstract: Time-varying scent determined by audio-meaningful events, such as gun firing, in an audio signal is generated by first computing a spectrogram thereof. A fingerprint, each having feature points, can be extracted from the spectrogram over a time window. The plurality of feature points is hashed to give a hash code. A sequence of hash codes obtained over multiple time windows is correlated with predetermined hash-code segments of known audio-meaningful events stored in a database. A matched audio-meaningful event having a highest correlation is identified. The scent-generating recipe corresponding to the matched audio-meaningful event is retrieved. Atomizers are used to vaporize scent-generating substances to generate the time-variant scent. Since the hash code has a fixed length and a smaller size than the plurality of feature points, storage requirements of the database and computation requirements of correlation calculation are reduced by using the hash code rather than the plurality of feature points.

  • Patent number: 7238493
Abstract: The present invention is based upon the finding that the protein p300 has acetylation activity which is directed to the retinoblastoma tumour suppressor protein pRb by the presence in the cell of the adenovirus E1A protein. This represents a target for modulators of the cell cycle, to which end the invention provides an assay for a modulator of acetylation of pRb by p300, which comprises: a) bringing into contact a p300 protein a pRb protein and a putative modulator compound under conditions where the p300 protein, in the absence of said modulator is capable of acetylating the pRb protein; b) providing conditions for acetylation of said pRb protein; and c) measuring the degree of inhibition of acetylation caused by said modulator compound.
