  • Publication number: 20170325026
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a signal processing device, a signal processing method, and a program that allows for generating an input signal suitable for a multi-way speaker. A band dividing unit divides an audio signal into signals in a plurality of bands corresponding to respective bands of a plurality of speaker units of the multi-way speaker. A filter processing unit performs wave front synthesis filter processing on each of the audio signals in the respective bands having been divided into. The audio signal in each of the bands after the wave front synthesis filter processing is supplied to the speaker unit of the corresponding band in the multi-way speaker. The present disclosure is applicable, for example, to a signal processing device or other devices.

  • Publication number: 20170127035
Abstract: To record and reproduce sound and an image so that content which entertains a viewer and which prevents the viewer from being bored is provided while realistic sensation is provided. Upon recording, image information shot by a plurality of cameras is recorded together with position and posture information of each camera, and acoustic information from a plurality of sound sources is recorded together with position information of each sound source. Upon reproduction, an image at a position of a viewer (eye direction) is reproduced, and a sound image is localized at the position of the viewer so that content which entertains the viewer and which prevents the viewer from being bored is provided while sound with realistic sensation is provided.

  • Publication number: 20160269848
Abstract: The present technology relates to a sound field reproduction apparatus and method, and a program, enabled to more accurately reproduce a sound field. A spacial filter application unit obtains a virtual speaker array drive signal of an annular virtual speaker array with a radius larger than a radius of a spherical microphone array, by applying a spacial filter to a spacial frequency spectrum of a sound collection signal obtained by having the spherical microphone array collect sounds. An inverse filter generation unit obtains an inverse filter based on a transfer function from a real speaker array up to the virtual speaker array. An inverse filter application unit applies the inverse filter to a time frequency spectrum of the virtual speaker array drive signal, and obtains a real speaker array drive signal of the real speaker array. The present technology can be applied to a sound field reproduction device.

  • Patent number: 9110366
Abstract: An audiovisual apparatus includes a video projection section, a focal length adjustment section, an acoustic processing section, and an audio output section. The video projection section projects video corresponding to a video signal. The focal length adjustment section adjusts a focal length of the projected video. The acoustic processing section performs acoustic processing corresponding to the adjusted focal length, on an audio signal corresponding to the video signal. The audio output section outputs the audio signal on which the acoustic processing is performed.

  • Patent number: 8644531
Abstract: An information processing system includes a display, a display sensor that detects a movement or a rotation of the display, a transducer unit as an earphone unit or a headphone unit, a sound processing part that processes an audio signal so as to localize a sound image in a position outside a head of a listener wearing the transducer unit and listening to sound, and an operation controller that computes an output from the display sensor to obtain a moving direction and a moving distance, or a rotation direction and a rotation angle of the display, and controls sound processing performed by the sound processing part in accordance with a result of the computation so that a positional relation between the display and the head of the listener is mapped as a positional relation between an image display surface and the head of the listener in a virtual viewing space.

  • Publication number: 20130216074
Abstract: [Object] To provide a headphone device in which the influence of individual differences in virtual sound field reproduction is less likely to occur and which may listen external sounds naturally, [Solution] A left-side headphone body and a right-side headphone body include speaker arrays which are formed of a plurality of speaker units which are arranged to surround auricles, respectively. The speaker array of the headphone body reproduces a sound field inside a closed curved surface in the vicinity of the auricle using wave field synthesis, and since reverberation or a diffraction effect occurs in the ear of each individual, the influence caused by individual differences is less likely to occur. In addition, the speaker array has the plurality of the speaker units arranged to surround the auricle and is not of a shape that blocks the ear of the listener, and then the external sound can be heard naturally.
