  • Publication number: 20220355276
Abstract: A Raney copper catalyst, a preparation method and use thereof are provided. The Raney copper catalyst includes aluminum, copper and a metal promoter, wherein the metal promoter comprises a combination of one or more of Ni, Fe, Mo, Co, Ag, Pd, Pt, Au and other elements. The preparation method includes performing high-temperature melting on a mixture containing a copper/aluminum alloy and the metal promoter to obtain a mixed metal cured compound, then smashing the mixed metal cured compound to obtain a catalyst precursor, and subsequently activating to obtain the Raney copper catalyst. The Raney copper catalyst exhibits a capability on hydrogenation reaction based on synergistic effects between metal copper and different promoter metals. Compared with the Raney copper catalyst without metal promoters, when used for preparing 1,3-propanediol through hydrogenation of 3-hydroxypropionaldehyde aqueous solution, the Raney copper catalyst is higher in activity and better in stability.

  • Publication number: 20220347667
Abstract: A precious metal-supported eggshell catalyst with a preparation method and an application are provided. The precious metal-supported eggshell catalyst includes a carrier, a precious metal and a promoter. As an active component, the precious metal and the promoter are evenly distributed on surface of the carrier, wherein the promoter includes one or more than two of a precious metal, an alkaline earth metal, a transition metal lanthanide series metal, an actinium series metal and/or a metal oxide thereof. With a highly utilization of the precious metal, the precious metal-supported eggshell catalyst showed high conversion, good selectivity and excellent stability, and the precious metal-supported eggshell catalyst is used more than 300 hours with no obvious loss of activity in preparing 1,3-propanediol through hydrogenation of 3-hydroxypropionaldehyde aqueous solution. Furthermore, with large particles the precious metal-supported eggshell catalyst is easily separated from reaction products.

  • Patent number: 11255465
Abstract: A microfluidic check valve includes an inlet bore, an internal chamber, an outlet bore, and a disk freely movable in the chamber between an open position and a closed position. At the open position, the disk permits fluid to flow from the inlet bore, through the chamber, and to the outlet bore. At the closed position, the disk prevents fluid from flowing in the reverse direction from the chamber into the inlet bore. The check valve may be positioned in-line with a fluid conduit, and/or incorporated with various fluidic devices such as, for example, capillary tubes, fittings, and chromatography columns. The check valve is capable of withstanding high fluid pressures, while featuring a small swept volume, such as a nano-scale volume. The check valve may be utilized, for example, to prevent fluid back flow and isolate pressure pulses in fluid flow systems.
