  • Patent number: 7147375
Abstract: A linear guide for transmitting a torque between a tubular housing, which is defined by a longitudinal axis and rotatable about the longitudinal axis, and a shaft, which is received in the housing and movable in the direction of the axis in relation to the housing, includes a bearing assembly received in the housing for support of the shaft and attached to the housing by swaging a housing portion. The bearing assembly has two bearing members and a set of rolling bodies disposed between the bearing members. One bearing member is constructed as bushing which is retained in the housing and defines a center axis which is oriented out-of-alignment with a normal upon a longitudinal shaft axis, and the other bearing member has a cup-shaped configuration to define a convex surface for support by a surface area of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 7055478
Abstract: The invention proposes an intermediate lever (1) for a variable valve train of an internal combustion engine, said intermediate lever (1) comprising a loading end (2) and a pivoting end (3), a cam contacting surface (4) and a support (5) for a resetting spring (6), the loading end (2) extending on a front end of the intermediate lever (1) and comprising a sliding surface (7) for making contact with a lever-type valve opener, the pivoting end (3) being designed so as to cooperate with eccentric means for affecting a change of position of the intermediate lever (1), and the cam contacting surface (4) being arranged between the loading end (2) and the pivoting end (3), wherein the intermediate lever (1) is made of a thin-walled sheet metal and is manufactured substantially by a punching plus bending method and wherein the support (5) is arranged on an upper side (8, 9) of the intermediate lever (1) in an edge region (10) adjoining the loading end (2) and has a convex portion extending towards the upper side (8,

  • Patent number: 6948401
Abstract: In a linear guide for transmitting a torque between a tubular housing, rotatable about a longitudinal axis, and a shaft, received in the housing and movable in the direction of the axis in relation to the housing, a plurality of axial rolling bearings are received in the housing in surrounding relationship to the shaft. The axial rolling bearings are disposed in two radial planes in axial spaced-apart relationship, wherein the axial rolling bearings in each of the two radial planes have each two bearing members and a set of rolling bodies disposed between the bearing members. One bearing member is constructed as bushing retained in the housing and defining a center axis which is shifted parallel at an offset to a normal upon a longitudinal shaft axis, while the other bearing member has a cup-shaped configuration to define a convex surface for support by a surface area of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 6370976
Abstract: A gear shifting drum (2) for a gear shifting device of variable-speed gearboxes for motor vehicles has a curved path (11a to 11c) for guiding an engagement member (13) of the gearshift fork (12a to 12c), wherein the gearshift fork (12a to 12c) is directly connected to a synchronization device. According to the invention, at least one radially outwardly directed wall (9, 10) is arranged on the outer surface area (8) of the gear shifting drum (2) for formation of the curved path (11a to 11c).

  • Patent number: 6240826
Abstract: The invention concerns a radial piston pump comprising a rotating pump shaft having an end portion connected to a rotationally fixed eccentric ring, said radial piston pump further comprising an eccentric bearing arranged on an outer peripheral surface of the eccentric ring, the eccentric bearing comprising a needle roller bushing having radially inward directed flanges between which bearing needle rollers are arranged for rolling, at least one pump plunger arranged in a pump housing and extending radially of the pump shaft being supported by an end face on the needle roller bushing, while the end portion of the pump shaft is supported in a housing via an adjacent second support bearing.

  • Patent number: 6227156
Abstract: The invention relates to a rocker arm (1) of a valve train of an internal combustion engine. This rocker arm (1) comprises two longitudinally extending side walls (2, 3) which enclose an intermediate space (16) while being connected to each other by a crossbeam (4) to form a U-shaped cross-section. According to the invention, a separate channel (24) for the transport of lubricant is created on a top surface (22) of the crossbeam (4). This channel (24) starts from an abutment (9) for an end of a push rod on the undersurface (8) of the crossbeam (4) and leads to a support (12) for an end of a gas exchange valve in the region of a second end (11) of the crossbeam (4).
