  • Patent number: 11919844
Abstract: A high-activity double-metal-cyanide catalyst, a method for fabricating the same, and applications of the same are disclosed. An organic complexing ligand, which is formed via mixing fatty alcohols and alicyclic carbonates, is used to generate a high-activity double-metal-cyanide catalyst. The high-activity double-metal-cyanide catalyst includes at least one double-metal-cyanide compound, at least one organic complexing ligand, and an optional functionalized compound. The double-metal-cyanide catalyst of the present invention has a higher activity than the conventional double-metal-cyanide catalysts. The polyols generated by the present invention has an insignificant amount of high-molecular-weight compounds.

  • Patent number: 11865293
Abstract: A body-fluid-and-medication leak-proof and closed medical connector has a first connecting assembly and a second connecting assembly. The first connecting assembly has a first sleeve and a first resilient valve. The first resilient valve tends to seal a first opening of the first sleeve. The second connecting assembly has a second sleeve and a second resilient valve. The second resilient valve tends to seal a second opening of the second sleeve. The two resilient valves can avoid leakage of the medication remaining in an injector and a vial, or remaining in a fluid infusion tube and a catheter. The two resilient valves also can seal in two directions to avoid leakage during connecting or separating the two connecting assemblies after supplying medication. Therefore, the transfer of the medication is more hygienic and safe, and the waste of medical resources is effectively reduced.

  • Publication number: 20230240939
Abstract: A closed system transfer device (CSTD) includes a barrel, a plunger, and a connecting port fixed to the barrel. The barrel includes a first cavity and a second cavity, which are separated. A piston of the plunger is operably moved within the first cavity and divides the first cavity into a first region and a second region that communicates with the second cavity. The connecting port includes a first channel communicating with the first cavity and a second channel communicating with the second cavity. When the CSTD is connected to a drug-liquid container to draw liquid, the first region is enlarged to draw the liquid into the first region from the container through the first channel. Simultaneously, the second region is reduced to discharge air in the second region to the container through the second cavity and the second channel. Thus, the CSTD and the container form a closed environment.

  • Publication number: 20230070577
Abstract: A medicinal vial reconstitution and IV dispensing device includes a bifurcated receptacle adapted to engage a medicinal vial, and a valve or barrier for selectively opening and closing the medicinal vial from fluidic communication with the patient IV line. The reconstitution device mixes medication with saline solution from an IV bag through a dedicated channel. The reconstitution device receives a medication vial containing the powdered medication. The reconstituted medication is then passed back into the IV bag for uniform mixing. A flow control element ensures fluid flow only from the vial to the bag. Once mixed, the reconstituted medication achieves a desired concentration in the IV bag. The (now medicated) saline solution in the IV bag is dispensed back through the reconstitution device via an IV line to the patient, and the flow control element redirects fluid only to the IV line and prevents any backflow with the vial.

  • Publication number: 20200298218
Abstract: A method of using biopolymer to synthesize titanium-containing silicon oxide material and applications thereof are disclosed. The method comprises steps: mixing a titanium source, a silicon source, an acid source, a base source, a biopolymer and a solvent to form an aqueous solution, and letting the aqueous solution react to form a semi-product; performing aging, solid-liquid separation and drying of the semi-product to obtain a dried solid; and performing calcination or extraction of the dried solid to obtain a titanium-containing silicon oxide material with a high specific surface area. The present invention adopts a biopolymer as the templating agent, which makes the fabrication process of titanium-containing silicon oxide material more environment-friendly. After calcination or extraction, the product still has superior catalytic activity, able to catalyze epoxidation of olefins and favorable for the production of epoxide.
