  • Publication number: 20140273665
Abstract: An adjustable bonding washer for placement between two metal pieces to create an electrical bond between them. The bonding washer has two metallic parts constrained to slide relative to one another along an axis. Each part has oppositely directed teeth that are forcibly embedded into the metal pieces to make electrical contact with them when they are rigidly clamped together. Adjustability enables the bonding washer to be mated with metal pieces having a range of widths and profiles, such as the slotted rails used to support arrays of photovoltaic panels.

  • Publication number: 20130271011
Abstract: An occupancy sensor with a separable override unit can selectively override the operation of the occupancy sensor at designated times and for selected time intervals. The occupancy sensor includes a light sensor to actuate the occupancy sensor and a light assembly when the ambient light is below a predetermined level and to deactivate the occupancy sensor when the ambient light is above a threshold level. The override unit is provided with a light source, such as an LED, to emit light to actuate the light sensor of the occupancy sensor, thereby controlling the occupancy sensor, such as by preventing the occupancy sensor from being actuated. The occupancy sensor includes a cavity for receiving the override unit with the LED aligned with the light sensor: A control unit is operatively connected to one or more override units for selectively controlling the normal operation of the occupancy sensor.

  • Publication number: 20130206455
Abstract: A spacer assembly includes a first clamping body having first and second ends and first and second protrusions extending from the first and second ends, respectively. A second clamping body has third and fourth ends and third and fourth protrusions extending from the third and fourth ends, respectively. A first gripping member disposed between the first and third ends has first and second openings for receiving the first and third protrusions, respectively, such that the first and third protrusions pass completely through the first and second openings to contact a first conductor received by the first gripping member. A second gripping member disposed between the second and fourth ends has third and fourth openings for receiving the second and fourth protrusions, respectively, such that the second and fourth protrusions pass completely through the third and fourth openings to contact a second conductor received by the second gripping member.

  • Publication number: 20130208471
Abstract: An LED module for a luminaire has a downwardly directed heat sink comprising cooling fins that extend rearward from the module's front end and downward from its top wall, which has a top face that abuts the underside of a luminaire carrier plate. A circuit board carrying at least one LED is mounted on the front face, and a prism is mounted to the heat sink over the LED(s). The front (light-emitting) face of the catadioptric prism has several prominent side-by-side sections which emit beam patterns that diverge laterally and overlap in a central region. A prominent full-width upper section on the front face emits a primarily downwardly directed beam pattern to help fill in dark spots.

  • Publication number: 20130188353
Abstract: An LED module includes a circular body member for mounting in a lighting assembly or luminaire that can be oriented in an opening in the luminaire by rotating the module about a center axis to a predetermined position to direct the light in a selected pattern. A mounting assembly captures the LED modules between top and bottom mounting members. The LED modules include a heat conducting body coupled to the mounting assembly to conduct heat away from the LED and PCB. A top side of the LED body cooperates with the mounting assembly. A bottom side of the LED body has a cavity supporting a PCB with a plurality of LEDs. A lens body is coupled to the bottom side of the body of the LED module to direct the light to the target area.

  • Publication number: 20130068716
Abstract: A storage container includes a jar and a cap removably connected to the jar. The jar has a cavity defined by a first base and a first wall extending upwardly from the first base. A first alignment indicator is disposed on an outer surface of the first wall. A cap is removably connectable to the jar. The cap has an upper portion connected to a lower portion by a connecting member. The lower portion has a second base and a second wall extending downwardly therefrom. A second alignment indicator is disposed on an outer surface of the second wall of the lower portion. The first and second alignment indicators are aligned to substantially prevent misalignment of the cap with respect to the jar when connecting the cap to the jar.
