  • Patent number: 5064979
Abstract: Microwave air float bar for use in floating and drying a continuous planar web of a material in a dryer. Radiated microwave radio frequency energy from a microwave in an air bar accelerates drying, or evaporation of solvents, or curing of planar web material passing in proximity to the microwave air float bar either by microwave radio frequeny energy, or in combination with Coanda air flow.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 7, 1990
Date of Patent: November 12, 1991
    Assignee: W. R. Grace & Co.-Conn.

  • Patent number: 5024004
Abstract: A radio frequency air float bar for use in floating and drying a continuous planar web of a material in a dryer. Radio frequency energy in an air bar accelerates drying, or evaporation of solvents, or curing of planar web material passing in proximity to the radio frequency air float bar either by radio frequency energy, or in combination with Coanda air flow. The radio frequency energy is capacitively coupled across the entire width of the web to ensure maximum energy transfer and even distribution.

  • Patent number: 4931028
Abstract: A toy blimp with at least one engine, and preferably two, mounted on a top side of an inflatable helium balloon blimp like member, and an infrared control circuit and power supply mounted on a bottom side. The balloon can be aluminum coated mylar, or preferably of a material which retains helium. A remote control transmitter with push buttons transmits infrared control signals to the control circuitry on the balloon for horizontal and vertical directional control. The blimp operates from the self-contained power supply and is controlled by the self-contained control system which receives control signals from the transmitter. The blimp is intended for free flight and as an amusement.
