Methods include coating the surface of at least a portion of the shale with the reaction product.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods and apparatuses for improved target wake time (TWT) operations in wireless networks. In some aspects, an access point transmits a trigger frame to stations of a TWT session during a TWT service period. Responsive to the trigger frame, the access point receives respective uplink frames transmitted by the stations. The access point then transmits a multi-block acknowledgment (M-BA) frame with a per association identifier traffic identifier (per AID TID) field configured to indicate whether one or more of the stations are permitted to enter a low-power state before an end of the TWT service period. By so doing, stations that are typically unable to interpret a more data field of the M-BA frame can determine based on the per AID TID if they are permitted to enter the low-power state and conserve power during a remainder of the TWT service period.
Abstract: A first access point (AP), which is associated with one or more first client stations, generates an announcement frame that announces a coordinated multi-user (MU) transmission involving multiple APs including the first AP and one or more second APs. Each of the second APs is associated with a respective one or more second client stations. The announcement frame is generated to indicate respective one or more frequency resource units (RUs) allocated to the one or more second APs for the coordinated MU transmission. The first AP transmits the announcement frame to the one or more second APs to initiate the coordinated MU transmission, and participates in the coordinated MU transmission while the one or more second APs also participate in the coordinated MU transmission.
Abstract: A communication device operates according to a communication protocol defines a first set of frequency resource units (RUs) and a second set of frequency RUs. The first set of frequency RUs includes at least a first subset of frequency RUs having a first bandwidth and a second set of RUs having a second bandwidth greater than the first bandwidth, and the second set of frequency RUs omits at least some of the frequency RUs in the first subset of frequency RUs. The communication device determines that a communication channel to be used for an uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission spans a frequency bandwidth greater than 160 MHz, and allocates one or more frequency RUs for the UL MU transmission, including: in response to determining that the communication channel spans the frequency bandwidth greater than 160 MHz, selecting one or more frequency RUs from a second set of frequency RUs.
Abstract: A method for communication over a wireless interface between transceivers that are moving with respect to each other. The method includes transmitting, by a communication station (STA) in a moving vehicle over a wireless channel to a receiver outside the vehicle, a sequence of data symbols encoded in accordance with a frequency-domain multiplexing scheme extending over a range of sub-carrier tones. A condition affecting the wireless channel is evaluated. Responsively to the evaluated condition, a pilot scheme is selected from among a plurality of available pilot schemes, for interleaving of pilot signals in specified sub-carrier tones of the data symbols. An indication of the selected pilot scheme is exchanged between the STA and the receiver. The pilot signals are interleaved in the transmitted data symbols in accordance with the selected pilot scheme.
Abstract: A first communication device transmits a first communication frame that includes scheduling information corresponding to a time period in which an uplink multi-user transmission is to occur. The scheduling information indicates a start time of the time period. The first communication frame includes an indication of a group of two or more second communication devices that are to transmit simultaneously during the time period as part of the uplink multi-user transmission. The first communication device transmits a second communication frame during the time period. The second communication frame is configured to trigger at least some second communication device in the group of two or more second communication devices to transmit simultaneously as part of the uplink multi-user transmission. The first communication device receives the uplink multi-user transmission during the time period, the uplink multi-user transmission being responsive to the second communication frame.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with validating de-authentication requests to prevent spoofing are described. According to one embodiment, an apparatus includes a wireless controller configured to receive a de-authentication request and determine whether the de-authentication request is invalid based on the wireless controller's receipt of two or more responses to a timing request sent by the wireless controller. Only one response is expected. The two or more responses include the address of a first station.

Abstract: An access point generates a trigger frame to trigger an uplink multi-user (MU) transmission by multiple client stations. The access point generates the trigger frame to include a common information field and multiple per-station information fields. The access point generates the common information field to include (i) a subfield that indicates a bandwidth of the uplink MU transmission, and (ii) information that indicates a guard interval and a long training field (LTF) mode to be used by the multiple client stations for the uplink MU transmission, and generates each per-station field to include respective frequency allocation information that indicates respective frequency resources to be used by the respective client station for the uplink MU transmission. The access point transmits the trigger frame to the multiple client stations to trigger the uplink MU transmission by the multiple client stations.
Abstract: A first communication device transmits a first packet that includes a wakeup request packet configured to prompt a wakeup radio at a second communication device to prompt a network interface device of the second communication device to transition from a low power state to an active state. The first communication device measures a delay period after an end of transmission of the first packet. The delay period corresponds to a time required for the network interface device of the second communication device to transition from the low power state to the active state. After at least the delay period, the first communication device transmits the second packet.

The first communication device uses the timestamp to set the least significant portion of the first timer.

Abstract: Techniques for correcting image data in a lens shading correction circuit include accessing numerical constants associated with channels of a captured image represented by a pixel array from a memory. The techniques further include calculating lens shading correction factors for the captured image for each pixel of a channel in the pixel array according to the x-y pixel position of the pixel based on a lens shading correction formula and the numerical constants. For the channel in the pixel array, the correction formula applies different subsets of the numerical constants to different radial portions of the pixel array. The techniques also includes performing lens shading correction for the captured image based on the calculated lens shading correction factors to produce corrected image data, and storing the corrected image data in a non-transitory computer-readable medium.
