    Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a dynamic time division duplexing (TDD) method applicable to a user equipment and a control node, and apparatuses using the same method. Accordingly, the present disclosure proposes a base station (BS) which transmits to a least one user equipment (UE) a system information block (SIB) having a first modification period, and the base station may transmit a TDD uplink-downlink subframe configuration during the first modification period. The BS also configures for at least one UE a second modification period which is in an integer divisor of the first modification period and could be within the first modification period so that the BS may transmit a second TDD uplink-downlink subframe configuration in the second modification period. As the second modification period is shorter than the first modification period and is periodically scheduled, the BS may alter the current TDD uplink-downlink subframe configuration dynamically at a faster rate.

    Abstract: Enhanced paging mechanisms are proposed for Machine Type Communication (MTC) devices in 3GPP networks. First, adaptive paging is proposed to adaptively allocate extra paging occasions for MTC devices with no extra procedure or power consumption on normal UEs. Second, group paging is proposed to simultaneously page a plurality of MTC devices with one paging. Group paging is controlled in different levels for optimized signaling and easier management. In one embodiment, group broadcasting and group release are used. Third, paging with response policy is proposed to pre-define or dynamically configure paging response policies for MTC devices.

    Abstract: This disclosure proposes a method to achieve D2D (device to device) communication in LTE system. Traditional communication in LTE systems is based on eNB. UEs (User Equipment) need to connect to eNB to send uplink and downlink transmission. Device to device communication is different from the traditional LTE scheme. UEs may directly connect to other UEs, sending data to each other. The disclosure provides the signaling process, based on LTE network entry procedure, to establish D2D communication in LTE system. D2D UEs send Msg1 to another D2D UE, and the recipient respond with Msg2. After the negotiation between D2D UEs, Msg3 and Msg4 are exchanged between UEs and eNB. Several embodiments are provided for the signaling of Msg3 and Msg4. The D2D data transmission may be enabled after the Msg4 or explicit data session initialization.
