  • Publication number: 20100058796
Abstract: Disclosed is an ice bank for a refrigerator including: an inner case and an outer case forming one storage space having an opened top by being coupled to each other; and a coupling unit coupling the inner and outer cases to each other so that either one is relatively movable with respect to the other one so as for the capacity of the storage space to be variable. The ice bank for a refrigerator includes the inner and outer cases coupled to each other so that either one is relatively movable with respect to the other one, whereby accordingly the capacity of the ice bank is variable depending on the amount of ice that a customer needs, thereby enhancing the customer's product satisfaction. Further, when the customer needs a small amount of ice, the capacity of the ice bank can be reduced, accordingly enabling to effectively utilize the storage space of the refrigerator.

  • Publication number: 20090181150
Abstract: This invention provides compositions and methods for producing low cholesterol poultry eggs using hypocholesterolemic compounds, cholesterol lowering supplements, and feeds therefrom. Preferably, this invention provides microbial statins without methyl group in C6, as shown in formula V, in order to produce low cholesterol poultry eggs. The invention allows producing low cholesterol poultry eggs without concomitant reduction of egg production by providing microbial statins, compactin and pravastatin as well as their derivatives, as cholesterol lowering components. This invention also provides methods for producing low cholesterol poultry eggs without huge increase of production cost since the effective amount of cholesterol lowering composition containing microbial statin costs 1/20-ΒΌ of that of synthetic statin.

  • Publication number: 20090106820
Abstract: A system for a user authentication includes an odor sensor unit for sensing an odor of a user's body to generate an odor biometric information vector, and a learning unit for performing an initial learning using the odor biometric information vector to generate a comparative odor biometric information vector. An authentication unit performs the user authentication by comparing an odor biometric information vector of the user's body to be authenticated from the odor sensor unit with the comparative biometric information vector if the user authentication is required. The authentication unit further performs an incremental learning of the comparative odor biometric information vector using the odor biometric information vector used in the authentication to create an incrementally learned odor biometric information vector. The comparative odor biometric information vector is updated with the incrementally learned odor biometric information vector.

  • Patent number: 6606394
Abstract: A surface inspecting apparatus comprises an image achieving unit for achieving an image of a surface of an object; and a controller for providing the symmetry feature of the spot or contaminant by using the magnitude of the intensity gradient and the orientation of the intensity gradient for each pixel of the achieved surface image to thereby detect a spot or contaminant on the surface. The controller detects the spot or contaminant by using a symmetry magnitude map formed by the magnitude of the intensity gradient and the orientation of the intensity gradient of each pixel, after achieving the magnitude of the intensity gradient and the orientation of the intensity gradient by using a gradient operator on the achieved surface image, wherein the symmetry magnitude map provides the internal symmetry feature of the spot or contaminant.
