  • Patent number: 12160849
Abstract: Beam determination may be used in wireless communications, for example, in a beam failure recovery procedure. One or more parameters may be communicated and/or used to indicate an association between resources and a corresponding control resource set (CORESET) pool index of multiple CORESET pool indices. For each of the multiple CORESET pool indices, a reference signal associated with the CORESET pool index may be determined. Wireless communications may be performed by selecting a reference signal for each of the multiple CORESET pool indices, and resources associated with a corresponding CORESET pool index may be communicated based on the selected reference.

  • Patent number: 12160781
Abstract: A method may include sending, by a base station to a wireless device, a radio resource control (RRC) message indicating a handover to a cell. The RRC message can indicate a first timing advance of a first beam of the cell and a second timing advance of a second beam of the cell. The first timing advance and the second timing advance can be provided for beam selection by the wireless device for transmission, via a selected beam of the first beam or the second beam, transport blocks using one of the first timing advance or the second timing advance corresponding to the selected beam.

  • Patent number: 12160799
Abstract: A wireless device may receive, based on an RNTI associated with a multicast and broadcast services (MBS) session, a group common downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a transport block (TB) of the MBS session. Based on the RNTI being associated with the MBS session, the wireless device may determine a scrambling identity for a TB of the MBS session. The wireless device may receive the TB scrambled with a scrambling sequence initialized based on a value of the scrambling identity and a value of the RNTI.

  • Publication number: 20240397487
Abstract: A method can include receiving radio resource control messages indicating a bandwidth part (BWP), of a cell, including first resource blocks (RBs) and second RBs, indicating common frequency resources, including the first RBs of the BWP, associated with a multicast and broadcast service (MBS) configured for wireless devices including the wireless device, and including a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) associated with the MBS. The method can also include receiving, via the common frequency resources of the BWP, a group common downlink control information (DCI) addressed to the RNTI. The group common DCI can indicate a multicast transmission of a transport block to the wireless device. The group common DCI can be different from a second DCI indicating unicast transmission for a second transport block. The method can further include starting a BWP inactivity timer of the cell in response to receiving the group common DCI.

  • Publication number: 20240397424
Abstract: A wireless device receives one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages comprising configuration parameters. The configuration parameters indicate: ephemeris information for determining a round trip transmission delay (RTT) between the wireless device and a base station in a non-terrestrial network (NTN); and one or more power saving monitoring occasions for downlink control information (DCI) indicating whether to start a discontinuous reception (DRX) on-duration timer during a DRX cycle. The wireless device transmits, on the NTN, a scheduling request (SR). In response to the one or more power saving monitoring occasions occurring within a time duration after the transmitting the SR, the wireless device starts the DRX on-duration timer during the DRX cycle, where the time duration is determined based on the RTT between the wireless device and the base station.

  • Publication number: 20240389161
Abstract: A base station receives from a wireless device repetitions of a random access preamble across a plurality of system frames. The base station further transmits a downlink control information (DCI). The transmitted DCI comprises a system frame number field indicating a system frame number and a radio resource assignment. The base station also transmits a random access response via the radio resource assignment. The base station further determines, in response to the system frame number indicating a last system frame, among the plurality of system frames, on which the base station receives the repetitions, that the random access response corresponds to the random access preamble of the wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20240389129
Abstract: A wireless device receives one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages comprising configuration parameters of uplink switching for a plurality of bands. The plurality of bands comprise a first band associated with a first priority, and a second band associated with a second priority. The wireless device determines, for an uplink switching between the first band and the second band, an uplink switching period location to be in the first band, based on the first priority being lower than the second priority. The wireless device transmits, based on the uplink switching period location, an uplink transmission via one of the first band and the second band.

  • Publication number: 20240381420
Abstract: Wireless communications between a base station and one or more wireless devices are described. Multiple downlink reference signals may correspond to multiple random access resources for a random access procedure. A base station may provide a set of downlink reference signals before a set of physical random access channels (PRACHs) are available for use. A wireless device performing a random access procedure may select two or more random access resources (e.g., PRACH occasions) based on the downlink reference signals. Using a listen before talk (LBT) procedure, the wireless device may select a first available random access resource from the two or more random access resources that are determined to be clear.

  • Patent number: 12143990
Abstract: A base station transmits radio resource control (RRC) messages having configuration parameters indicating a first bandwidth part (BWP) and a second BWP. The base station also transmits a first downlink control information (DCI) scheduling one or more first uplink resources for a first reception of a first uplink transport block (TB) from a wireless device via the first BWP. Before the first reception of the first uplink TB, the base station may transmit a second DCI indicating a switching from the first BWP to the second BWP and one or more second uplink resources for a second reception of a second uplink TB from the wireless device via the second BWP.
