    Abstract: A method for converting source data to a channel-modulated signal having a plurality of pairs of in-phase (I) and quadrature-phase (Q) data in a mobile station, wherein the mobile station uses at least one channel, includes the steps of: a) encoding the source data to generate at least one data part and a control part; b) generating at least one spreading code to be allocated to the channel, wherein each spreading code is selected on the basis of a data rate of the data part and the control part and spreading codes are selected so that two consecutive pairs of the I and Q data are correspondent to two points located on same point or symmetrical with respect to a zero point on a phase domain; and c) spreading the control part and the data part by using the spreading code, to thereby generate the channel-modulated signal. The method is capable of improving a power efficiency of a mobile station by reducing a peak-to-average power ratio in a mobile communication system.

The apparatus includes a wind noise detecting unit to detect a wind noise section from an input audio signal, and a signal processing unit to reduce a low-frequency band signal of the input audio signal in the detected wind noise section. The apparatus determines whether wind is present and automatically reduces wind noise based on the determined result. Accordingly, the apparatus can effectively reduce wind noise.

The method includes: generating a filter bank value of a low frequency band from a modified discrete cosine transform (MDCT) coefficient, which is extracted from an input bitstream according to a window type, extracting transient information of a frame according to the window type and selecting a weight coefficient according to the extracted transient information, recovering a filter bank value of a lost high frequency band from the generated filter bank value of the low frequency band, and adjusting the recovered filter bank value of recovered high frequency components according to the weight coefficient.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a MAC controller of a network printing device having a MAC controller for transmitting/receiving a packet over a network, and at least one bus master. The MAC controller includes a buffer for temporarily storing the packet, and an IP header analyzer for analyzing an IP header of the packet stored in the buffer, comparing an IP address of the packet with a pre-assigned IP address, and determining based on the comparison result, whether to receive the packet. The MAC controller can be advantageously used for maximizing the bus bandwidth for use in the network printing device having a single processor by minimizing unnecessary packets' accesses.
