  • Patent number: 7173666
Abstract: An area is imaged with a non-standard aspect ratio, e.g. wide aspect ratio, digital imager to produce pixels of image data. At least a portion of the produced pixels of image data corresponding to the captured non-standard aspect ratio image is displayed beginning, for a given frame of pixels of image data, at a column of pixels of image data corresponding to a predetermined column of imaged pixels. The number of columns of display pixels is different than the number of columns of imaged pixels. Motion is detected in the imaged pixels so that a motion responsive portion of the imaged pixels corresponding to the captured non-standard aspect ratio image corresponding to a window of the imaged pixels having motion detected therein can be displayed.

  • Patent number: 6996630
Abstract: An integrated network gives priority to message traffic associated with a first network over message traffic associated with a second network. This arrangement allows a private network, such an emergency network, to be integrated with a public network, such as a cellular network, while preventing the cellular network traffic from blocking emergency network traffic. Lower priority connections can be preempted by higher priority connections. The integrated network can migrate a request from a first node to a neighboring node and can re-route a connection around a failed link.

  • Patent number: 6977685
Abstract: The imager system of the invention, provided in a semiconductor substrate, includes a plurality of photosensitive, charge integrating pixels that are arranged in rows and columns of a pixel array for capturing illumination of a scene to be imaged. Each pixel includes a photogenerated charge accumulation region of the semiconductor substrate and a sense node at which an electrical signal, indicative of pixel charge accumulation, can be measured without discharging the accumulation region. Pixel access control circuitry is connected to pixel array rows and columns to deliver pixel access signals generated by the access control circuitry for independently accessing a selected pixel in the array. An input interface circuit is connected to accept a dynamic range specification input for the array pixels.

  • Publication number: 20030225668
Abstract: A system for negotiating acquisition of telematic data from at least one vehicle traveling along a traffic route and collecting telematic data. A system node provides a first polling signal including a first purchase offer. The probe detector responds to the first polling signal by comparing the first purchase offer to a selling price. If the first purchase offer at least meets the selling price, the probe detector transmits an availability signal including an assent parameter agreeing to the sale to the system node in response to the polling signal. If the system node accepts the availability signal, it transmits a release signal, and the telematic data is transmitted from the probe detector on the vehicle to the system node. The system node and probe detector may negotiate the price through multiple polling signals before release of the telematic data.

  • Publication number: 20030170210
Abstract: Use of a recombinant Paramyxovirus vector has enabled transferring nucleic acid into the blood vessel at high efficiency by short exposure. The present invention provides a Paramyxovirus vector used for transferring nucleic acid into the vascular cells and a method for transferring nucleic acid using such vector. Pretreatment of blood vessels with protease significantly improved the efficiency of transfection into the medial layer. The expression of transfected genes was stable in the vascular cells for a long period. The method of the present invention enables efficiently transferring genes into tissues such as the blood vessel lumen, media, and adventitia in short time in such applications as gene therapy.
