    Abstract: After formation of a template layer over a neutral polymer layer, a self-assembling block copolymer material is applied and self-assembled. The template layer includes a first linear portion, a second linear portion that is shorter than the first linear portion, and blocking template structures having a greater width than the second linear portion. The self-assembling block copolymer material is phase-separated into alternating lamellae in regions away from the widthwise-extending portion. The blocking template structures perturb, and cause termination of, the lamellae. A cavity parallel to the first and second linear portions and terminating in self-alignment to the blocking template structures is formed upon selective removal of a polymeric block component. The pattern of the cavity can be inverted and transferred into the material layer to form fins having different lengths.

    Abstract: Embodiments relate to setting up direct mapped routers located across independently managed compute and storage networks for enabling multiple modes of communication over the cross-coupled links between the networks. An aspect includes identifying a characteristic of a local entity based on a unique location identifier assigned to the local entity and learning a characteristic of a remote entity based on a location identifier received over a cross-coupled link between the local entity and the remote entity. A port on a local entity router is then correlated with the received location identifier of the remote entity. A route is then built in the direct mapped router table at a location pointed to by the location identifier of the remote entity. An optimistic failover route is established from a storage entity to a compute entity when a cross-coupled link between the storage entity and the compute entity is broken.

    Abstract: A method to transfer a layer of graphene from one substrate to another substrate is provided. The method includes providing a first layered structure including, from bottom to top, a copper foil, a layer of graphene, an adhesive layer and a carrier substrate. The copper foil is removed exposing a surface of the layer of graphene. Next, an oxide bonding enhancement dielectric layer is formed on the exposed surface of the layer of graphene. A second layered structure including a receiver substrate and a dielectric oxide layer is provided. Next, an exposed surface of the dielectric oxide layer is bonded to an exposed surface of the oxide bonding enhancement dielectric layer. The carrier substrate and the adhesive layer are removed exposing the layer of graphene.

    Abstract: The invention relates to transferring, in one exposure, a single-mask feature to form two features on an underlying material. Specifically, a doubled walled structure (i.e. a center opening flanked by adjacent openings) is formed. Advantageously, the openings may be sub-resolution openings. The center opening may be a line flanked by two other lines. The center opening may be circular and surrounded by an outer ring, thus forming a double wall ring structure. In an electronic fuse embodiment, the double wall ring structure is a via filled with a conductor that contacts a lower and upper level metal. In deep trench embodiment, the double wall ring structure is a deep trench in a semiconductor substrate filled with insulating material. In such a way the surface area of the trench is increased thereby increasing capacitance.

A first polymeric block component is removed selective to a second polymeric block component by an etch to form second polymeric block component portions having a pattern. A composite pattern of the pattern of an etch-resistant material within the chemical pattern layer and the pattern of the second polymeric block component portions can be transferred into underlying material layers employing at least another etch.

In one aspect, an imaging system includes a camera equipped with curved optics having a field of view of from about 0.01 miles to about 1.5 miles; and interchangeable light filters positioned in front of the camera configured to change one or more of an intensity and an amplitude of light captured by the imaging system. The curved optics may include a hemispherical mirror configured to reflect an image of objects in front of the mirror, and the camera may be positioned facing a reflective surface of the hemispherical mirror so as to capture the image reflected in the hemispherical mirror. Alternatively, the curved optics may include a fisheye lens mounted to the camera. An imaging network of the present imaging systems and a method for use thereof for thermal monitoring are also provided.

For example, a method determines whether a given event is a new event in a video stream. The video stream includes a plurality of events. A first step extracts a first set of features (e.g., text features) from the given event. The first set of features is computationally less expensive to process as compared to a second set of features (e.g., image features) associated with the given event. A second step computes one or more first dissimilarity values between the given event and one or more previous events in the video stream using only the first set of features when one or more first dissimilarity criteria exist. A third step determines whether the given event is a new event based on the one or more computed first dissimilarity values.

    Abstract: A system and method of terminating processing requests dispatched to a coprocessor hardware accelerator in a multi-processor computer system based on matching various fields in the request made to the coprocessor to identify the process to be terminated. A kill command is initiated by a write operation to a coprocessor block kill register and has match enable and value for each field in the coprocessor request to be terminated. Enabled fields may have one or more values associated with a single request or multiple requests for the same coprocessor. At least one match enable must be set to initiate a kill request. A process kill active signal prevents other coprocessor jobs from moving between operational stages in the coprocessor hardware accelerator. Processing jobs that are idle or do not match the fields with match enables set signal done with no match and continue processing. Processing jobs that do match the fields with match enables set are terminated and signal done with match.
